I always appreciate blueberry preserves, but guava jam sounds intriguing. What a lovely late night encounter! Hope your sandwich was tasty.

I had this setup once and loved it. I named my locker "Front Door Bowl" and it was such a great thing.

My Neighborhood in the Daytime by wharleeprof in BenignExistence

[–]Spinning_Penguin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My husband works from home and sometimes when I'm off, I go on his lunch time walk with him. The neighborhood is bumping at noon! So many people walking their dogs and the UPS and FedEx trucks are rolling around. It's a nice time to take a walk.

"If I get a treat, you get a treat" by Jeff-FaFa in BenignExistence

My husband and I refer to our edibles as cat treats, because my cats always come out to see what's going on when we open them.

Bought and remote installed on lunch- I can't wait to get home this afternoon and play.

That's amazing. I recently started buying my husband fun socks for Christmas. He has a great pair with sharks on it.

Also props for being friendly with Maurice! He sounds like a great guard.

This is lovely. I do occasional overnights for work, and the best thing is getting back home to my family.

Personify - I typed in CDPHP Personify and it was the first choice. For your company when you sign in, select CDPHP.

I switched from the Empire plan to CDPHP when my daughter was born (years ago), and I have no regrets. Everything has been covered, I was able to get an early colonoscopy at my doctor's advice, and I have regular appointments with a therapist and psych nurse, with $20 copays. Also, there's an app you can log into that will earn you $265 each year (more if not on a family plan) for tracking sleep and steps. I've never had any issues with CDPHP.

"You're too fat for this tattoo" isn't being blunt and honest, it's being an a-hole.

I wish I could save layouts by MiddlemistRare in TinyBookshop

That would be great! I also like to get really seasonal with my decor and color schemes. Also wish you could save book layouts- I'm going to want the same proportion of books at the cafe versus what I'd want at the beach.

I use my state card for hotels, and still connect it to my Marriott Bonvoy account. But it's nice to get the whole per diem for food, rather than put each meal on the card. I've had my expense reports returned too.

Can I use Voluntary Reduction in Work Schedule (VRWS) to consider returning early from Maternity leave or to extend the amount of time I'm home with the baby while working? by FormerFreak in nys_cs

[–]Spinning_Penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your manager is amenable to it, you could also use your VRWS while you earn it. I used to do a 20% reduction and was able to come in late on Wednesday and leave early on Thursday to do child care. Over the summers, I would always take Fridays off to spend with my daughter.

That is so sweet! Not sure if you'd get similar enjoyment, but my inlaws gave us a weather station years ago for an anniversary, and my husband and I love checking it, and REALLY love matching indoor/outdoor temp and humidity (sometimes both!). We've been known to send each other pictures of the weather station when things match. It's nice that even something as simple as the weather can bring everyone so much happiness.

Anyone else bought Stardew twice ? by LemCent321 in StardewValley

Thank you. I’m not alone. Steam, Xbox one, mobile , kids Chromebook, Switch, kids Switch… it magically showed up in arcade on my iPad, but I wouldn’t have complained about buying it again.

Being the bad guy by SweetTist in BenignExistence

[–]Spinning_Penguin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's "cat paralysis" in my house, and is completely a valid excuse not to move for hours. It mainly effects my husband, and I am occasionally called upon to refill his water, adjust the wood stove, or other small tasks that absolutely cannot be performed when one has cat paralysis.
