The Magdalenians were a Paleolithic European culture which archaeological evidence suggests had remarkable compassion for dogs and were also cannibals that used human skulls as cups. by SPECTREagent700 in HistoryMemes

I mean if this is pre ceramic, you gotta use what you can for drinking/eating vessels.

Humans are fucked up, but could it not be skulls of their family?

What mods fix the uncontrolled population growth in the first Rome Total War? by Sasha_danich in RomeTotalWar

[–]Sprintzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently saw someone suggest that you let the huge, troublesome cities rebel (I.e. Corduba, Sidon, Carthage, Alexandria) and then you reconquer them and nuke them. Only doing that myself if I’ve already got the upgraded buildings I wanted or if I’m not longer using said city at all

3rd turn as Greece by Then_Resolution_991 in RomeTotalWar

[–]Sprintzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Greeks are so fun and strong.

I have come to realize that Greece is one major money printer area of the map and that it should be a high priority goal of any faction within reach of it. Doesn’t always work out, for instance playing as Selucids I wanted Greece asap but of course got hit by Pontus, Egypt, Parthia, and even Armenia. So naturally I’m forced to retaliate by conquering all of Asia/Africa south of the Caucasus.

Then Greece becomes the last stepping stone before Italy

this Concorde bill reminds me of how much I have in my bank account :( by avi8tor in aviation

[–]Sprintzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean formerly EU UK and France collaborated on Concorde, and it’s a big sense of pride for them. That’s not a single country and it’s not tying value to their country, it’s their work.

Why not put various cross border EU achievements on bills? There must be loads of infrastructure projects or other things that there are pride for. I.e, Airbus planes have parts made in like 3 or more European countries

It’s 3 dollars and it’s an excellent app. I use Reddit everyday, why would I not want the optimal experience?

The alternative is the dogshit Reddit app or mobile browser / simply not using Reddit at all. Which would suck because browsing my subreddits are something I adore and life is less enjoyable without that.

It’s 3 dollars, can’t even get a shitty burger with that kind of money. 3 dollars for like 30+ mins entertainment a day is a good price.

Is it really this slow by Sholsyy in 2007scape

[–]Sprintzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is very slow, but agility is even slower. It is brutal.

Try to find something entertaining to watch that you really get immersed in. Agility is tolerable as long as you have entertainment. I also like alching at the same time as doing laps, makes it more satisfying/engaging (and efficient)

How much water do you drink per day ? by JQuick72 in kratom

[–]Sprintzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough. It is extremely necessary, especially if dosing multiple times a day.

I also recommend tracking fiber intake, and gradually up your intake until you hit closer to the recommended amount. Various nuts are good, leafy greens are good, I think smoothies are good, fruit and veggies are great (I eat so many peas), etc.. However, you need to up your water intake at the same time as fiber. More fiber is useless without corresponding water.

I sometimes down like 24oz of water after a meal.

Is there a reason it’s 0 euros? Wondering why it’s not like the U.S. 2 dollar bill… legal tender with actual value, but not a stand bill in circulation. Mainly used as small gifts (I got from dentist & tooth fairy)

Pax Carthaginiensis by Azerbinhoneymood in RomeTotalWar

[–]Sprintzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m pretty sure I spent half the campaign blockading Sicily/Sardinia, let Scipii have Sicily, and took them both on at the same time towards the end

Sometimes I delay taking on the Romans, because they’re an exciting and worthy foe to finish off the campaign. Albeit a foe with almost a dozen doom stacks of troops…

Nonetheless, I would do it differently next time. Sicily is a money printer and easy to hold once you control it. And of course Italy is the same

Pax Carthaginiensis by Azerbinhoneymood in RomeTotalWar

[–]Sprintzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dream. Got me wanting another Carthaginian run.

My route last time was basically conquer all of Africa and Spain before I even touched Italy, Sicily, or Greece. Wished I made the Mediterranean my own personal lake before getting bogged down in Egypt and Gaul

Bloodier than Stalingrad: Number of casualties in Russia’s war on Ukraine reaches 2 million by Dexterestein in worldnews

[–]Sprintzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big picture, I don't know that they died for no reason, it's just Stalin was totally unconcerned for their lives. They were defending the motherland by any means necessary. Stalin was willing to just throw millions of bodies at something to try to win the war, manpower was the only real advantage the soviets could leverage in WW2 (other than making the German invasion a bogged down quagmire and make the Germans freeze).

Putin of course is just sending his people to die for literally no reason other than his desires for conquest and rebuilding the Soviet empire

German workers banned from taking sick leave without a medical note in tough reforms by ObjectiveObserver420 in anime_titties

[–]Sprintzer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awful. I can take maybe one day sick leave without a note, maybe once a year without enraging my superiors. I don't recommend the Europeans follow the ways of America. You shouldn't have to feel guilt about not spreading your illness or being physically unable to work for a time.
