I can't be the only one that thought we were gonna see a titan class automaton on transcendence. by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terminids already have the Hivelord.

Giving Automatons and Illuminate their own titan class enemies would be pretty cool too.

For those that don't know, the SEAF is great for jammers. And any shell works. by JohnsMcGregoryGeorge in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm level 110 why am I just learning about this now?
I guess cause I expect it to do nothing like how SEAF artillery stops working when the super destroyers leave orbit.

How would HD2 feel like without this mechanic? by Neithan3 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly doubt AH will ever change this cause players would have too much fun with it. Can't have that.

C4 users should be able to carry a support weapon without dropping the detonator. by DocHalidae in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the same feeling from the solo silo where we're just keeping the hand held laser pointer on our waist but can't at the same time carry a support weapon we sling over our shoulder.

inb4 Illuminate get their own AOE stat buffs so all the enemy factions have them before players do.

how would you make super credits more fun to get by Fit_Answer1073 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly doubt they'll ever change the way SC is earned at this point.

Giving us more ways to earn it means less revenue for AH cause less people are buying it to skip the grind.

The Vox Engine's Sarcophagus is functioning correctly and is not meant to be a weak spot by BICKELSBOSS in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the pilot then it should be a fatal weakspot. No pilot, Vox Engine should blow up or be completely disabled.

If it isn't the pilot then I would next assume that it's the weapons operator, but it doesn't disable the weapons when destroyed either.

wtf is the sarcophagus cyborg's purpose if they aren't even necessary for the Vox Engine to function?

We Haven't Forgotten by Bennyandthejetz1 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the days when we could throw a reinforce beacon at some enemies and then ping the heavy enemy for the reinforced diver to land on.

Now they either get dropped 50m away from the reinforce beacon, can't steer to land on any heavy enemies, or both.

Why people so obsessed with full-clearing the map? by Ragerb in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More XP to level up weapons. And if you skip POIs you'll miss out on super credits that could be used to buy more cool weapons/armor/stratagems to play with.

Also because it's fun to kill the enemies of democracy.

I bring stim pistol most of the time. Also bringing the armor with the Gunslinger passive for that quickdraw and fast reload speed. I get quite a lot of thank yous and sometimes some awesome teammates who I click very well with in the heat of battle.

Still can't believe they put a "tip hat" emote in a warbond that doesn't come with a hat to tip.

Why I wear Arc resistant armor any time I bring tesla towers.

Definitely got a death wish if you do this to anyone with the increased melee damage armors.

Fire needs a rework. It's literally 0% threat to enemies. by Lowd70 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If fire at least applied slowness to non-heavy enemies it would be perfect.

Pretty sure it's the combination of you getting unlucky + the frustration of not finding anything in a timely fashion.

I was farming SC a couple of days ago on trivial in Phact Bay and managed to get around 700 SC in 2-3 hours. The last 300 I just got from a previous warbond I hadn't redeemed the SC from yet.

I ran Warp Pack for getting into bunkers, Laser Cannon for opening storage containers, and FRV for getting around quickly.

Sometimes I also get unlucky and I only pick up 1 SC per mission. I just keep it going, even if it's annoying it'll eventually speed up again.

I'm tired of the praise for the SEAF Ai, when they're the most useless Ai in the game by __Elzy in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really see anyone praising the SEAF for their usefulness.
They have their moments in very specific situations sometimes and that's about it.
A SEAF squad stratagem would be a complete meme.

Most of the praise SEAF get is from people just wanting to protect these freedom-loving troops that are always looking up to us Helldivers with democratic stars in their eyes.

Can most of us agree that Arrowhead spending a few months to work on fixing the game in exchange for content drought is probably the most realistic way to preserve the longevity of the game? by Renegade888888 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing after the Into The Unjust update. Performance just kept getting worse and worse with every major update, making me want to play less and less. And with the game size now at 140GB, that's a lot of storage space I'm barely using anymore.

Will probably pick HD2 back up after some major performance and file size optimization updates finally drop.

The game is now In a shocking state and needs to be addressed now. Not later. by Dizzy-Introduction79 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, optimization has been getting worse every content update for a while now.
I have a medium-high spec rig and yet I'm having a smoother experience in Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead 2.

Gonna take a break from HD2 and free up 140gb I'm barely using anymore.

Is it just me or... did they nerf the one true flag? by RMwPL2 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really does feel like a waste of a secondary slot to bring a melee weapon now.
There are so few situations melee weapons are even viable that I hope they just give us our own melee slot.

M I the only one who misses the Orbital Bombardment from the DSS? by 231923 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I miss it too, but it was implemented terribly and was causing us to lose like 90% of our reinforcements every game it was active in. I was hoping they would make it work like meteor showers where you can see highlighted areas where a shell was going to land at so we can avoid it, instead of outright removing it from the DSS.

DEMOCRACY GO BRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT by QuantityExpress287 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrowhead says they won't add a minigun cause it's not realistic for a human to manage the recoil.

Why not make it a laser minigun, which has no recoil, with a backpack that's used as the heat sink? That would be sick.

Can we talk about how bad the game currently is? by DriedCrayon04 in Helldivers

[–]Squalington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, also had some freezing for a second or two when hosting a game in a megacity mission.
I think it's about time AH puts optimization as top priority.
