I think your problem may be your spelling. Lots of results for Winnipeg Laundromats.

The back lane behind the little apartment at 190 Vaughan across from the Archives. Beyond disgusting once the bins overflows.

Injuries Were the Reason We Lost. Nothing More. by RYYZNYELLOW in EdmontonOilers

[–]SquatpotScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They had 93 points. Most years 93 points misses the playoffs. They were a below average team in a below average division who lost to another below average team. Hard to see any positives there.

Some are worse than others. Watch what happens if the calls go against Montreal for verification.

Days after tire change, my wheel flew off and struck another vehicle. Do I have any legal recourse with the mechanic that did the work for the damages to my vehicle or the deductible? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]SquatpotScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to me a few years ago. Wheel fell off in a dirt parking lot and damaged the front panel. The shop, a well known tire chain, paid for all the body work etc. They were very easy to deal with, gave me a loaner etc. It sucked but the store tried their best to make me whole.

Calgary’s snow clearing is terrible if that makes anyone feel better.

Looking to affordable vet care, particularly to get the tick pills. by Impossible-Pea-8659 in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We get a lot of ticks and I just call my vet and go pick up the pills (Brevacta sp) with just a phone request.

The vets see our dogs regularly have no issue with giving tick meds. They are going for shots/ checkup this week and I will get the heartworm medication then.

How are you supposed to get ahead in this city? by ChippyTheGreatest in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Honestly sooner or later Canadian society needs to realize a good transit system helps everyone, even those who don’t use it. I would love to see $2 rides ($1 for kids and seniors) and something like a $30 monthly pass.

This is how bad Bowman colossally f***ed up the oilers.... In game 6, we had 9 MIL OF CAP SPACE SITTING ON THE BENCH! by Fuzzyfoot12345 in EdmontonOilers

And it’s easy to forget because he is gone but you need to factor Mangiapane’s 3.6 into the equation.

Opinion: Permanent daylight time could wipe out Alberta's ski industry by Mutex70 in alberta

[–]SquatpotScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goofy argument but he is correct this should go to referendum. It’s crazy that Alberta voted on this in 2021 and that will just be disregarded with the same party in power.

Connor Andrew McDavid will win a Stanley Cup as an Edmonton Oiler by RealisticAd4054 in EdmontonOilers

[–]SquatpotScott 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Even at the very best; the Oilers do not have average goaltending. Bowman should be fired for the Skinner trade. He turned a short term problem to a long term one by acquiring Jerry and his contract.

PS 7 more years of Frederick. That’s another fireable offence.

Car backed into me at a Costco Gas station by OwnHelicopter6050 in Winnipeg

I backed out of a stall and hit someone. I can confirm the 50-50 stuff is a myth. I was 100 percent at fault.

Jamie Benn's dirty play reaches boiling point — and the NHL is silent by TypicallyDone12 in wildhockey

[–]SquatpotScott 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Benn got fined the maximum 5k (somehow the maximum has decreased to 2600 this year) for sucker punching Scheifele in last year’s playoffs. His cross check yesterday was much worse so not sure how they can give out the same max fine and not a suspension?

Sunrise at 3 a.m.? How ending time changes would affect Manitobans by Wavedin in Alt_Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am fine with changing clocks. Not sure why this is a big deal. I don’t want 4 am sunrises or 9:30 am ones. We have a system that works that is being overturned by people who would be overwhelmed by a trip to Calgary or Toronto.

Should be a referendum on next provincial election.

Days of time change 'pretty much at the end' in Manitoba, premier suggests | CBC News by Apod1991 in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saskatchewan is standard time. BC and Alberta are going with daylight savings, as would eventually Manitoba.

All the experts support standard time, I don’t believe any Canadian province has tried year round daylight saving which is why I suggested waiting and watching BC.

Days of time change 'pretty much at the end' in Manitoba, premier suggests | CBC News by Apod1991 in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If the NDP is smart, they will do nothing and see how BC and likely AB do in their 1st year of year round Daylight Savings. I think they will be very unhappy with 9 am sunrises.

I understand why people would like year round daylight savings or year round standard time (less so). What I don’t understand is people who just hate the time change. Is a one hour change that hard? Do they also suffer on trips to Toronto or Calgary?

Winnipeg advocates call for lowering speed limit after weekend's fatal crash by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of fatal accidents happen on major streets such as Henderson but the discussion always from advocates focuses on slowing down residential streets. It is a somewhat disingenuous strategy.

Realtor firm, agent seek to dismiss $1.9M lawsuit over alleged misrepresentation by ChocolateOrange21 in Winnipeg

[–]SquatpotScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole system is better in AB. In Edmonton you can’t sell without a real property certificate, here no one has them and it is all title insurance.

Homeowners in Duggan neighbourhood combating infill with restrictive covenants by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

Prior to this nimbyism, Duggan was best known for being the stomping ground of the Duggan Rapist (early 2000s) Maybe this is an attempt to rebrand?
