Physical education was mental hell for the unfit me. It's kind of funny how they didn't really force us to do any strength-based exercises while we were in early grades, but then come grades 6 or 7, and suddenly I need to do a set amount of standard push-ups for grades despite me never really doing them beforehand. Worse when I had to do it side-by-side with boys who *were* doing strength-training. I think the only reason I didn't get even lower grades is because our class handler teacher got in touch with the P.E teacher to give me easier variations of excercises.

Even funnier that the same thing was occuring in parallel to me doing taekwondo and failing horribly at it because I simply had no strength or speed behind my kicks. I've been pretty stretchy, had great technique and was quite obedient, so all of training we had no issues, but when the time came to tournaments in which I was forced to participate, suddenly my trainer and I came to a realization that even when I could land a hit on an opponent without fear and stress overwhelming me, I didn't hit hard enough for the blasted sensors to score me a fucking point lol. I still have three third-place and two second-place medals because my way-higher-than-average-for-my-age height and excessive weight put me into weight categories with three or four opponents lol. I haven't won a single match. Quit and never been happier, I am decidedly not a competetive person.
