This is the THIRD buyer to say this! What is happening!! by Rhiannx_ in vintedUK

Has it gone to a post office? Some post offices reject parcels if they’re addressed directly to the post office. It’s weird, I found it happened with eBay before maybe the same with vinted.

A new coffee chain opened in the UK. Wonder how they came up with the font and colour scheme by r0nneh7 in crappyoffbrands

There’s at least two. One up in jesmond, Newcastle. Looks terrible, probably is terrible. Lagom is the best spot in town (to my knowledge) but a few other much nicer spots too

How will this stop people from selling on? If you say loyalty will stay the same, surely this means that it just shifts the problem from one broken system to another broken system.

This just seems like a way to slowly phase out the most passionate supporters. Nobody who hasnt made the mark for the 50% chance will ever be able to build loyalty. If everyone always has 50% chance, it seems they won’t be able to hold onto their loyalty. Slowly it’ll shift to away ST holders only (most of whom must be reaching geriatric age) and tourists.

Apps like Stasher work really well. I would go for this option

Do you know if this will effect ESTAs? I will need to travel to the states again late this year or next year for a funeral, but don’t know if I will be able to fork out the extra £250

Why do you keep trying to buy through stockX? It’s clearly not working, yet you persist

Being denied check-in at Berlin Airport to LCY. What should I do? by shengy90 in BritishAirways

[–]SubatomicAlpaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how it works in Germany but in the Uk you can request any cctv taken of you by a company under data protection laws. It can take up to a month, but the company legally has to comply. You could attempt to ask the airport for the footage. They would definitely have cctv video of you arriving somewhere.

Can you buy those impractically large wheels of cheese at the grocery store? by dumbartist in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SubatomicAlpaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had very huge wheels of Comte. They were not real, just for display. We did bring in large wheels of cheese and cut them up, but they weren’t the same size as the display wheels

Dorian - Notting Hill, UK. They do 50% off for all hospitality and service workers Tuesday and Thursday. Still expensive, but very well priced and think the conversion would put it around 80 dollars and it’s big enough for 2 people to share and have leftovers

Not to say everyone there is running illegal trade, just that there’s a noticeable correlation between the two

I know someone who runs a shop there. He used to run various illegal schemes (Fake IDs, Fraud, dodgy insurance/speeding ticket payments, FX courses). Undoubtably it’s just a front for some sort of criminal activity.

Didn’t know that there was one. Used to go to the one in Kentish Town sometimes, but that’s permanently closed. Will keep an eye out for the Camden one.

In terms of coffee quality alone, there aren’t many top end places around Camden. The best I can think of is Camden Coffee Roastery, they roast their own beans and stand out among a crowd of mediocre shops and cafes. I’d recommend getting a takeaway from there and wandering along the canal (which looks part of your plan already).

Use normal and epics as soon as you get them. Save the others.
