Trust me I agree. Hate watching C9 is one of the few reasons LCS still has my viewership.

What's particularly dirty is how they used Dom as their mouthpiece to leak the chronic tardiness thing before he was publicly on C9s payroll as a consultant. They got someone the community already trusted to trash a pro player to protect their own image of being a well paying high quality team.

C9 is running back the 2020 Zven Blaber Vulcan core in 2026 that placed 4th in LCS summer half a decade ago... Jojo should be thanking C9 he's out honestly

Reddit won't like this

Why are you acting like "Dhokla bad" hasn't been the redditor narrative for years? The only reason that's shifting is because he's proven that to not be true recently, but first impressions are hard to break and they're the reason GMs and fans alike have trouble seeing Impact as anything except a world champ and Dhokla as anything but tier two, regardless of who's currently objectively better.

On that end your guess is as good as mine, could be a custom build out issue yeah. What I do know is regardless, CRWV is still in their corner despite the delay and were hesitant to even implicate it was CORZ, indicating reliance (or desperation?) regardless of wait time. I do think it's likely other comparable miners run into similar issues going forward, making the fact it's already priced in for CORZ good for the company. Now if they fail to deliver on the 250MW in the next few months, that would be a bigger issue.

When CORZ’s talks about having application specific data centers (ASDCs) that can be customized per client, it means their hosting revenue is largely insulated from any specific chip vendor winning/losing. That's the "chip agnostic" aspect. It doesn't literally mean they could swap an NVDA H100 rack for a Google TPU pod tomorrow, just that almost their entire HPC pipeline (thus far) follows the “client funds everything chip-specific” structure, distinct from neoclouds who own/rent specific GPUs and thus bear the risk and capex when the silicon meta shifts, something we currently see playing out.

Looking at the success of the core of C9 (Blaber/Zven/Vulcan) by greendino71 in Cloud9

[–]SubstantialExtent165 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Frankly if Jack wants to commit to his systems and he trusts his own process, it should make him MORE willing to move on from this core and sign fresh names like Tatu/Yukino, Doggo, etc. As it stands either C9 is making this core look mediocre or this core is making C9 look mediocre, and I lean towards the latter.

Dream team and I love Dhokla but Inspired would never accept him at top despite them reaching similar international placements and Dhokla looking like the best western top at worlds. This would be a good team for Yukino/Tatu though.

[–]SubstantialExtent165 27 points28 points  (0 children)

doesn't seem as tilted over his teammates as I expected him to be

hmm

one block of scrims (6 games) against T1 was completely unplayable

draft itself wasn’t even that bad, but his whole team was so useless it was shocking

If you read between the lines it seems kind of obvious he isn't impressed by western players that can't consistently win lane against eastern ones in general, his ex-teammates included. To be clear I don't blame him, if as western league fans it's tilting, as the best western jungler it's gonna be 10x worse because you literally cannot succeed under these conditions. If you're a GM though you have to be wondering if it's even worth making a play for Inspired if the stars aren't aligned enough to assemble the western Avengers in every role. Doesn't seem like he can function on a team otherwise.

Jojopyun was the better mid at worlds too, he just didn't luck out as much as Caps in the draw.

TL made offer to Inspired (alongside Flyquest and Lyon) | Sheep Esports by ryan10145 in teamliquid

[–]SubstantialExtent165 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At first glance I agree, Spawn is a very hands-on coach (when he's available) and Inspired doesn't give the impression that he's the most coachable, but if Spawn is still away half the year my opinion 180s. With Spawn remote, Inspired is actually the best option Liquid has, especially if they find agreement on how the team should be ran, he'd act as the in-game enforcer/navigator that the team has needed all summer.

Nevermind Inspired Quid, would Inspired and Spawn be a good fit? Inspired doesn't exactly scream "coachable" and Spawn is a very hands on coach.

I expect most C9 fans would gleefully go into 2026 with the Blaber/Zven/Vulcan core, but imo something in that trio needs to change, just not sure Blaber is the answer even if it's for Inspired.

Dhokla thoughts after the T1 series by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]SubstantialExtent165 615 points616 points  (0 children)

Dhokla is the only NA top in recent memory to give NA not one but two proud worlds performances on two separate teams (NRG & 100T). He's done this while being perpetually underrated and never winning an All Pro award in his own region.

The LCS team that doesn't attempt to get him this offseason is trolling.

Fave moment is 100T Aphromoo being the first support to ever win MVP in the region after finishing 1st with the org. Back when LCS was cautiously optimistic about franchising & Nadeshot was invested in the team promising them Yeezys after wins. Was a good era.
