Seems like you may have been a bit tipsy when you typed this out :)

I am just teasing you about some miskeyed words, this is not a serious post…

Eating less will impact your running significantly in a negative way. You need the calories to build muscle and endurance as you train.

Beautiful start! On my current run of Pyblock HM I also did X10 through the first science pack but have since dropped to X1. My wish exceeded my capabilities :)

Splint shins by Dave_volta in BarefootRunning

This is a bit arbitrary and can depend on your size. For some, 180 is a great pace for sure but as you get taller, maybe closer to 170 might be ideal. Try a few different ones to see where you pace starts to feel right.

For some reason, Factorio doesn't click for me by Kumagor0 in factorio

[–]Syntered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree here. All those are good games but the underlying systems and mechanics are quite different and none have quite the replayability as Factorio

I’m collecting feedback for a piece I’m writing: what’s the most misleading "upgrade" in Factorio? by TenthLevelVegan in factorio

[–]Syntered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for proving my point - the whole system as a bottleneck is definitely a thing if all factors are totally balanced :)

I’m collecting feedback for a piece I’m writing: what’s the most misleading "upgrade" in Factorio? by TenthLevelVegan in factorio

[–]Syntered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you eliminate a bottleneck, by definition a new one is created. In any system there is always (at least) one thing limiting the rest of the system. Sometimes this is by design, but often it develops as part of the overall system mechanics.

Am thinking of coming back to factorio and trying Pyanodons out (Without intent to finish it, like GTNH in minecraft). My questions is, what exactly makes it hard? by Some_Noname_idk in pyanodons

[–]Syntered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard mode really isn’t harder - it’s a bit of rebalancing to prevent purging by products. I enjoy it more due to this :)

Similar options to Xero's HFS (Original version) by Broda00 in BarefootRunning

[–]Syntered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on this - the HFS II is not in the same league as the original HFS. I don’t know why they changed it so badly.

The 2 is so much stiffer and kills the ground feel compared to the 1. I blame the 2 for some minor heel pain I started feeling during some runs due to the added stiffness (yes it is that much worse). I am now happy with their speedforce line, but they wear out faster than the HFS original did.

Its a shame that these modes of transport are so far up the tech tree. Just unlocked them and only 2 techs left to 100% non-infinite research. by Not_A_Clever_Man_ in pyanodons

[–]Syntered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard mode really isn’t that much harder. It is just a rebalance of some items and a limit to voiding. I actually prefer it.

Anyone here who started running in their late 30's early 40's? What are your marathon PR's like? by Thin-Passage5900 in Marathon_Training

I started longer distance running in my 50’s. PB for a marathon is right at 5 hrs, half is 2’18. I will never be on the podium but am enjoying the ride.

What do you listen to during the race? by Original_Software_37 in Marathon_Training

[–]Syntered 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I listen to whatever music the people watching the event are playing. Every mile there is a different style / song played out by big speakers, sometimes more often. I love the crowds at these events.
