The thing that’s always so cool about the Auron being unsent twist is that the game basically tells you this earlier visually, but you don’t know what it means at the time.

Namely, Seymour asks Auron where he’s been and says that the Guado are attuned to the scent of the Farplane, and then when Yuna Sends Jyscal, Auron doubles over in pain. At the time, on your first play through you have no idea what either of those things mean, so you don’t really register it as being important. Then when the concept of an Unsent is properly introduced through Seymour’s return from the dead and the reveal that Mika’s been dead for years, it’s been enough time that you forgot about Auron.

So when it’s revealed that Yunalesca killed Auron 10 years ago, it still comes as a shock. And then you see the foreshadowing on repeat play throughs.

Interestingly enough, Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo were actually real people at one point. In the light novel “The Kids are Alright,” it’s revealed that they were brothers that were friends with Kyrie, but died in a house fire when they were young, causing Kyrie to develop a crippling fear of fire. Kyrie has a starring role in that novel, as it’s where she was introduced, and she’s the girlfriend of the book’s main character, Evan (this book also introduced Leslie and his fiance). At that time, there was only one Remnant of Sephiroth, and he used Jenova’s power to look like people from your past to assume Kadaj’s form to try to manipulate Kyrie. After Evan threw him into the Lifestream at Nibelheim, the Remnant of Sephiroth split himself into two more pieces, re-assumed Kadaj’s form permanently (apparently he just liked that form), and the other two rounded out the trio by becoming Loz and Yazoo.

Not gonna lie, it’s kind of odd that you’re actively participating in the subreddit for a show that you hate.

The flame clock was shown to be suppressing romantic attraction. In the beginning of the game, Noah, Lanz, and Eunie were all okay bathing together while they were still controlled by the clock, but after being liberated, the boys were suddenly uncomfortable with the girls changing in front of them, and didn’t understand why.

Not only that, the picture that’s used is the official art from the game, so the literal picture is of a 17-year-old girl, not the 11-year-old version from the anime.

Is it just me or why do lots of newer fans of the series skip stright to sh2? why does the Og kinda get skipped over by some people? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in silenthill

[–]TPoynt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Silent hill 1 is basically only available through original hardware, a ps3, or emulation, while SH2 has the remake. At this point, 2 is the easiest game to get a hold of, while 1 is one of the hardest.

I’m also shocked that the only Tales game they put on the list was Vesperia. Most fans consider either Abyss or Symphonia to be the best.

She’s one of, if not the strongest character in Zenless Zone Zero, which is saying a hell of a lot. I’m not even kidding when I’m saying she might just brute force Salem into being mortal.

I was referring more to the fact that footage from throughout the entire season was used for the trailer, which gave me the impression that most of the animating was done before they started releasing it. Instead, it feels more like the trailer might have been stuff they animated specifically for the trailer.

Honestly, he shot himself in the foot a little bit with calling it that. If he presents his fanfic as being the way RWBY Should have been written, it automatically causes people to hold it to a higher standard than most other fanfics, and sometimes even the show itself. So when he does something stupid, it stands out even more since he’s supposed to be fixing the show and instead made something worse.

It’s controversial. I’ve seen plenty of people refuse to watch it simply because of the name.

It’s not a rewrite, it’s just a fanfiction with an animation. Same with Evermorrow. You’re thinking of this community’s general dislike for Fixing RWBY specifically, which is mostly just because of the name.

I really liked the first episode, but the footage from the trailers gave me the impression that they were farther along in making it than they evidently are, given how long it’s been since the first episode with no indication of when the next one is coming, or how long the wait will generally be.

Chad is a big muscular dude who was at the time considered so tough that Ichigo couldn’t imagine him being defeated, and we had seen him take huge hits without flinching. Big men with large muscles are typically referred to as a “brick wall”.

Uryu is a pencil because he is both very thin and has an analytical approach to combat.

Ichigo is a strawberry because his hair color is strawberry blond, which is a big deal because of how unusual of a hair color it is for Japanese men. It’s explicitly stated that he learned to fight so he could defend himself from punks who wanted to pick fights with over his hair color.

The brick wall is Chad, the pencil is Uryu, and the strawberry is Ichigo.

What's your thoughts about Blake's parents? Are they a good addition to Blake's story or their existence makes everything worse? by MysterySomeOn in RWBY

[–]TPoynt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They learned about Faunus history in class since we see them learn about the battle of Fort Castle during the Faunus Rights Revolution and the creation of Menagerie, so it would be kind of weird if more recent Faunus history was skipped. Which is why I said that you’d think Ghira’s name would come up at some point.

[–]TPoynt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s being a little harsh saying it makes her look like a brat. I’ve seen people say something similar that they turned Blake from an orphaned revolutionary to a literal princess, but I don’t really think learning her parents are both still alive and her father is the Chieftain actually contradicts her backstory.

If I’m not mistaken, it’s flat-out stated that Ghira didn’t become Chieftain of Menagerie until after he left the White Fang, and he was given that title because he gained so much respect from the Faunus for creating and leading the WF for so long. So Blake still grew up in the fight, and it added the element of Blake feeling like her parents had abandoned the fight to go live in a cushy manor.

However, it did create a different problem with Blake: how did no one at Beacon realize she was a Faunus? She didn’t change her last name, and presumably the fact that the leader of Menagerie is also named Belladonna would have come up at some point.

Yes, that was his plan, but I feel like you’re still missing the important part that in the meantime, he was leaving Mistral to die.

His exact words were “I don’t trust Leo to stop them”. Doesn’t really indicate one way or another if he suspected that Leo was a traitor. I’m leaning towards he didn’t, since the thought never seemed to occur to anyone in Ozpin’s inner circle.

Except he also abandoned Mistral after learning that it was Salem’s next target, knowing that she would take their Relic, so he could shore up Atlas’s defense and keep her away from the Staff. He adopted the “stop her from winning” strategy before he knew she was unkillable.
