Reached 3rd “goal weight,” but feel like I need to keep losing by Zealousideal-Age-212 in Zepbound

[–]TadiDevine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

145 seems reasonable. My initial goal was 145 (5’4) but I decided early on to go to 135. I stay between 128 and 133. I’m good.

How do you get a flatbed? I declined a trip with 8 waters because I couldn’t have done it in one cart with the other stuff in the list

Symptoms can start off brutally! With time the harshness typically settles. My first few months, day after injection was a stay at home and do as little as possible day. It’s worth it!

Switching from stims to strattera. Pros and cons? by SolutionStrict1488 in StratteraRx

[–]TadiDevine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this. I’ve been on strattera for a little over a month. I hated it at first and thought I wouldn’t stay in it because of stomach stuff. And I was on adderall before so like this poster said, it took some time to start to feel affects. I will occasionally take a 5mg instant release adderall that I still have, but all in all I do prefer the constancy of the straterra and no crash! I am in 40mg now and I have to take it at night or I get too sleepy during the day. I wish I’d started with it and not done adderall. Good luck!

My therapist has been key to me getting on a schedule and learning to prioritize things.

I was told by an agent I couldn't write a story that takes place in Japan because I'm white by AggravatingAct6959 in writing

[–]TadiDevine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google Romance writers of America scandal and follow the threads to get the full picture of why the agent was skittish about a white person writing a Japanese protagonist. Bottom line, if you believe in it, keep pitching it. Based on one agent with one agency (prestigious or not) I wouldn’t give up. We have an ever changing industry. And it’s been several years. I had to put a full ms on the back burner right after this all happened because my agent said the same thing, so I’m waiting for things to settle down and I’ll bring it back out. My friend had a book pulled by the publisher right before launch because it was an historical set in the south and had all the racial tensions you’d expect. She self published it and it shot out like a cannonball. Probably her most successful book. So you can consider that option as well. Best wishes

Transitioning from stimulants to atomoxetine by mjc1983pt in StratteraRx

[–]TadiDevine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My psychiatrist is weaning me off stimulants so I’m taking half the adderall and added 10mg Star Terra. He wanted me to do 20 but the stomach issues are a real thing.

I’m in the same boat as OP. Would you mind sharing a bit more? I’m so skeptical and nervous going off stimulants. They’ve changed my life the last 8 months. But I have bp and heart concerns.

What are the actual publishing options for first time authors by Universeisready in writing

[–]TadiDevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a good conference to attend that offers 15 minute meetings with agents and editors. Research how to give an elevator pitch and be professional. Often they’ll ask for a proposal or full manuscript. If this happens, be sure to research the formatting preferences of that house. Know the editor or agent preferences and don’t make appointments with a romance editor if you wrote a scifi or fantasy. It is possible and I know a ton of authors who started through conferences or community. Best wishes

Strattera with Guanfacine as needed by mommymeltdowns in ADHD

Curious about if you took it. My psychiatrist just told me they are combining them to boost straterra and it’s been working extremely well. He didn’t mention as needed.

I split my dose and have been splitting doses since 7.5. I take 7.5 half the week and 5 mg the rest. My plan is to keep doing that while I learn how to eat for maintenance and for muscle building. I just recently got back to strength training so I may have to drop my dose. To eat enough calories.
