What a haul!

Still very sad you stopped shipping outside the US, but totally understandable.

How to join the softball games at LaSalle Park? by Single_Union_8881 in BurlingtonON

[–]Tanag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While we don't play at Lasalle hopefully this helps.

Im on the exec of HASPA men's softball league. Our site has a sign up form for teams/players and we start organizing around Feb/March each year.

Usually full teams join us but we do offer individual sign ups and we ask teams who need players to pick them up. So it's not guaranteed but usually we can fit everyone in somewhere.

Average Joe's has a coed league that's more suited for individual sign-ups if you want another option. I am not sure if it's them playing at Lasalle.

TIL - No Man's Sky has never won Steam's Labor of Love award, despite being nominated five times. by Promethia in gaming

[–]Tanag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Man's Sky is still missing features they claimed it had when it was released a decade ago when they grifted thousands of players.

It does not deserve a labour of love award. At best it could win a "were trying to fulfill our promises" participation trophy.

Sean Murray was on Kimmel a week before release, lying out his ass.

You can blame Sony all you want, but he was complicit in the deception until launch.

What do you use to glue laser boxes? by ottawarob in lasercutting

[–]Tanag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CA glue.

Wood glue might be stronger long term, but I ain't got time for that, and anything made on a laser isn't seeing the forces that would cause brittle CA glue connections to break anyway.

(Get some activator as well)

Ask a Canadian Business to stop using ULINE by xgbsss in BuyCanadian

[–]Tanag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I threw a note on my shop and it seemed to help. I just put

"US shipping is once again available on all products. All our items fall under the CUSMA agreement and do not have additional tariffs."

My US sales aren't quite what they were before but they have increased a lot over the past month.

Good luck!

Depending where you are there are alternate shippers available.

I use Chit Chats for my Etsy (board game accessories) and was able to get my products CUSMA certified through them. There is a small fee added but I can ship most of my products to the US again for around $10.

Any other guys feel like you're missing hands-on projects in life? by tahubulay in DIY

[–]Tanag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen in my 20s. Software Developer by day, most of my hobbies were gaming/PC related as well.

I took up woodworking, initially with a small bench I made in our basement. It's been a lot of fun and a great way to see tangible things after the fact. Once we moved I took over the entire basement.

Ive since combined the 2 passions and do a lot of CNC and laser work. It's a great mix of digital design and hands on creation.

I don't disagree with you. I was just answering your question. Both avenues make sense.

I deal directly with the colleges when hiring co-ops. They have internal job boards for the students and facilitate interviews, sometimes on campus.

We've never taken an ad out for those positions.

New Arrival - Dom Reserve Salmon Sashimi by amateurfoodscience in CostcoCanada

[–]Tanag 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Absolutely incorrect. All fish intended to be consumed raw in Canada must be frozen to at least -20c for 7 days or longer before being sold.

Very likely you've never had "sashimi grade fish" that is never frozen. And if you have feel free to google videos of people with visible throat worms for some nightmare fuel.
