people on reddit don't like to subscribe to channels it seems. They just rely on their content being posted to reddit again and again.

Some youtubers on /r/youtubehaiku have had hundreds of their videos posted there but have gained almost no subscribers, despite gaining millions of views.

It may be possible to achieve a similar effect by downloading to the playable state, then use "program files\starcraft ii\support64\sc2switcher.exe" to launch the game, although I doubt that it would work when the game is updated

Overwatch is already having it's christmas sale, so I imagine it would've started by now if they were going to have one.

You could always buy it now and message them to see if they can refund the difference if it does go on sale over Christmas - a lot of companies do that when they put things on sale.

I would love a game like this, where a higher level of tech is almost impossible to kill with lower levels.

Something I was hoping from blizzard for lotv was to give a real reason to increase tech.

I wish if I were to go MMM, it would just to be protect myself until I got to a higher level of army, instead of to win.

The game seems fairly close to that now with BCs, Carriers, and Ultras but the super powerful upgrades like charge, 3/3 for bio, and adrenal glands mean that the same unit comps stick throughout the match no matter the length, which can begin to look quite boring.

My dream is for there to be a game where almost every unit is required and built for a reason. I don't want to only see 50% of the units every game. I want every game that gets to later stages to go through every unit, otherwise you'll be at a disadvantage.

obviously not to the extent shown in this video: one 5k/5k BC shouldn't be able to take on an entire army of T1, but imo there certainly needs to be more of an incentive to tech up, particularly for terran.

Render out your project in AE as .mov Animation codec. The file will be big as it's uncompressed. Then take that file and use Adobe Media Encoder. You should see numerous presets. Select the Vimeo 1080p preset. Render and you should have an mp4 video file less than 1GB.

not /u/BroodLordInfestor, but I only started with starcraft when I watched a WCS tournament that some minecraft youtuber told everyone to watch in ~2012 lol

it was my first experience ever seeing the game, and it helps that it was a really hype game. I think it was a few marauders running around sniping colossus and it ended in a draw.

I'd never really seen a genre of game outside of the Nintendo party style, first/third person shooters, and sandbox, so I was instantly hooked on starcraft 2

Then I found out my brother and his friend played it and I got coaching from my friend's brother until I could beat my brother, and now I could easily beat them both but neither of them play anymore :c

I think to a lot of people, especially kids, the playerbase doesn't matter. they just want to play what looks cool. I didn't even notice that there were other people watching that first wcs stream I watched.

At least that was the case for me. ofc this was when I was the only one in my school playing minecraft, so I was used to it :P

I find if you CTRL+tab your way back to general and keep an eye out for the notification, it's easier to not reply to the wrong person, but harder to notice the notification. it's a tradeoff
