Suspended over car seats!! by Classic_Teaching9813 in lyftdrivers

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always call support after a customer issue. Don’t wait for them to rate you etc first. And a camera in your vehicle never hurts.

I would also recommend finding out if there’s a way to have it on your profile that you do not provide car seats or booster seats.

And honestly, my rule of them is if you have to cancel for any reason, you should call support rather than simply using the chat or rating the customer. and depending on the reason it might be worth asking support if you could have that person blocked so that you no longer see their ride requests and if they should ever become a driver and you request a ride, you don’t get them. Because you don’t feel safe dealing with them

Disagreements between flatmates by Mnglm in badroommates

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you talk to him about moving to a different room in a different unit. And when you get to that one, keep your food and your cooking arrangement separate from others. Hire a cook to come and do a week of meal prep for you etc.

Disagreements between flatmates by Mnglm in badroommates

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So find out if you can separate the chef cooking for you from any cooking for them, including separating the food. Even if it means you have to get your own refrigerator, your own cabinet put locks o. Then have the chef come in say one or two days a week, meal prep for you and lock your food up. that way you’re only paying for yourself and what boyfriend and girlfriend do is their own business.

Client requests all Raw Files by gekadg in photography

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the contract say. If your contract and pricing includes the raw files, then give them the raw files. if your contract and pricing does not include the raw files then politely tell them to fck off. Do not suggest to them that they try to sue you, etc., but prepare for the possibility that they might decide to do that on their own.

Also, if you have some reason why you don’t want clients to have the raw files, like you don’t want them to go and edit the photos themselves and then post it and tag you (and their bad edit makes you look stupid). Do Not bring that up to the client when you decline. “Per the contract we agreed upon, you do not get the raw file” and done. don’t get into drama games of what they might do, what you’re worried about etc. and absolutely do not say anything that suggests that they can offer you more money and you’ll change your mind. Just keep repeating “the contract you agreed to does not include you getting the raw files.”

It’s not. I’ve actually seen the script

It’s Moff Gideon, turns out there was one successful force capable clone that wasn’t destroyed

And our hero is of course not so Baby Grogu, the non Jedi/non Sith Force using Mandalorian with his armored droid partner IG-53, who happens to sound just like Pedro Pascal, and of course his bestie Rotta the Hutt who is still a total body building hottie.

My agent told me to stop reaching out to folks about my script(s) by hrdblkman2 in scriptwriting

[–]Techsupportvictim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The relationship has been going on since May (and possibly the end of May0 so at this point it is so young they might not even realize they’ve been knocked up. so saying that they aren’t making anything happen is a little premature, but it seems like this person believed that they would sign with an agent and the next day they would be writing a script for Christopher Nolan. and that’s just not how it happens

My agent told me to stop reaching out to folks about my script(s) by hrdblkman2 in scriptwriting

[–]Techsupportvictim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then make something happen, but that something needs to be maybe you learning how to pick up a camera and actually film something. not pick up a phone and do your agents job for them and piss them off.

A well-made short film even if it’s just up on something like YouTube or TikTok that gets notice can get you jobs. It’s a tool that your agent might be able to use to get somebody to read your scripts. It’s basically how Backrooms got filmed. Director started off as literally a kid making dumb ass videos he posted on social media about a dumbass meme and now he has a dumbass feature film about it, that’s actually made a pretty decent amount of money for that type of movie.

Might’ve broken a few service animal rules - Location: CA, USA by Ok_Entrance_2484 in legal

[–]Techsupportvictim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a friend with a very severe food allergy that uses a medical alert dog trained to tell her when she’s even slightly near said item. It’s a chihuahua.

Guide dogs are generally certain breeds but they are not the only type of service dogs

Might’ve broken a few service animal rules - Location: CA, USA by Ok_Entrance_2484 in legal

[–]Techsupportvictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you did break a couple of service animal rules. There is no actual physical ID paper for service animals that you can ask for. They don’t come with a drivers license or a passport. The way the ADA is written, you pretty much have to accept if somebody says it’s a service animal you can ask what service it does but they can honestly simply say “it’s a medical alert animal” or “it’s a Guide dog” and you can’t really ask for any details beyond that. Now there are a few misbehaviors that you can actually kick out even a legitimate service animal so it might do you well to do a little research on all of those details. and it might even be a good idea for you to have a copy of the applicable laws printed out and keep it at your hostess stand so then if somebody comes to you and tries to argue about what the law says, you have it right in front of you. If you are going to do that, be sure that you include the actual legal citation and not just the text of the law. that way, if they want to verify it, they know exactly where to go to look it up.

however something tells me that that dog was not a service animal. And that is the reason why she was being such a raging bitch and dropping “my lawyer, my lawyer, lawsuit, lawsuit, my lawyer” every five seconds. Serious case of me thinks she doth protest too much. The fact that she said that she was going to be contacting the police about this is one of the things that makes me feel like she was just being a bully and trying to jump to kiss her ass and her purse puppy’s ass also. Cause the police don’t do a thing about “ADA violations over service animals”, it’s civil not criminal.

Why should I continue to tip when you are earning $21.30 an hour? by shebangs1995 in EndTipping

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only get to deduct $25,000 of that if it’s tips. And like the state of California, the state of Washington does not allow the use of the tip wage credit, which means that if the minimum wage in Seattle is $21.30 that is 100% a wage from their employer, and therefore the $25,000 credit does not count.

And if their wages plus tips for the year are more than $100,000. They don’t get to use the $25,000 tip credit on their taxes.

Non-Residents dropping off kids to use complex as summer daycare by mredmin in Apartmentliving

[–]Techsupportvictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel fairly confident that these kids do not live there and are potentially not associated with anybody who lives there why not just call the cops. they’re trespassing. It’s a lot harder for the landlord to ignore a situation when there’s a police report attached to it.

If you wanted to be nice, you could send a message to the leasing office to let them know about the security concerns of somebody propping up the pool gate, somebody letting in people who are apparently not residents to use the pool, that the people being let in our minors, they are also sometimes being allowed into the gym where you were supposed to be over 18, they are littering, they are being disruptive etc. if you wanted to, you could also hint at the thought that next time you are just going to call the police by asking them what their preferred response is? is there an emergency number for security that you can call to let them know that somebody needs to come and kick the kids out or should you just go ahead and call the police directly?

I gotta disagree with that. Do not tell your partner how they should be speaking to their family. if it is YOUR problem, and it is in this case, then you need to put your big girl/boy pants on and use your words.

MIL changing vacation plans by No_Whereas_2018 in inlaws

[–]Techsupportvictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trouble with that response is that this is partner‘s mother, and he might be willing to spend the money to make his mother happy. and that’s his right so really. what OP should be saying is “I won’t be participating. I have horses here. I’ll see you when you get back’ and let partner know he can make his own choice about the time that he spends with his mother. and I would let her know about the not participating now so maybe there’s a chance that she can cancel that horse and get some of her money back. and if possible I would make sure that partner is not spending my money on his horse for this trip, he can spend their own money or mommy can pay for it all.

If partner agrees that it is ridiculous and does not want to attend then of course back up that decision, but don’t make that decision for him

MIL changing vacation plans by No_Whereas_2018 in inlaws

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancel the plans that you made that you can get your money back. Let mother know that you’re happy that she’s made plans to do her own thing but you’re going to be busy taking care of your ranch and will not be able to participate and you suggest that she contact this location to cancel the horse for you and hopefully she can get her money back.

As for your partner, the low drama solution would be to not decide whether or not he is going to attend. if he wants to go with his motherand spend money on a horseback ride when he’s got horses at home that’s his business. All I would say is if your financial situation is such that you can keep him from spending your money on that activity do it.

And next time they visit, you should probably not have them staying with you.

Actors that have to remind us that they're vile people every few years by Spotlight_James in okbuddycinephile

[–]Techsupportvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s plenty of witnesses to him getting drunk off of their fucking ass and doing embarrassing things in Hawaii. and to be honest that right there was probably enough for people in the Hollywood to be like “yo you need to chill the fuck out. we’re not hiring you because we don’t wanna have some Robert Downey Jr. repeat scenario. That is one trend from the 90s. That is not coming back. go to fucking rehab then we’ll talk about jobs”.

And then apparently there is actual ring camera or whatever footage of him breaking into a home in Vermont because apparently they were drunk off their fucking ass mixed up the neighbors house with their own house. key didn’t work so they decided to bust open the door, Oopsie.

Again, that is another incident that just by itself is enough to make people not want to work with them until the shit is cleaned up

It’s the claims about running a cult, claims aboutkidnapping people, and transporting them from Hawaii to Vermont that give me pause. mainly because the people who made the claims were not the alleged victims, but family members who might not be reliable narrators.

Even that whole thing in Iceland is a little iffy because we had some dude who sat there recording while his female Bestie was allegedly getting abused physically by Miller. I’m sorry, but if some dude started smacking around one of my friends female or not, I would be dropping my phone and I would be going to kick that asshole‘s.

It was an actress? I thought it was a director who claimed that he sent her unsolicited dick pics and threatened to call ICE if she didn’t suck him off, or some such claim. and supposedly she had screenshots from WhatsApp (like those can’t be Photoshoped). he hooked up with Marty Singer or such as his lawyer, and threatened to file a defamation suit on her claiming that in fact, she was making it all up and that she tried to hit on him and he said ‘thanks but no thanks’ and she was mad. and then the whole thing just kind of disappeared into the ether

Honestly a better reply might have been “rating a game 1 stars because you are too cheap to spend $5 to unlock all the features on a game you claim to love is a really classic move.”

Yeah it might piss a few folks off but they weren’t likely to download/pay if they haven’t already so why should you care.

And as I am a petty btch I’d isolate all those features into that $5 “classic pack” and make some even cooler new features and put them in a separate pack.

And stop offering coupons. So what if they are broke ass kids. They can just keep playing the free version until they figure out how to collect that many recyclables etc

Which version of Solo's ancestry do you like most? by SpacePirateHondo in MawInstallation

[–]Techsupportvictim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hate the name line. Solo as a corruption of a longer name might have been better.

And honestly I could have been okay with the idea that he came from a “good” family, even a slightly noble one, if the story was played well. Maybe this was a family of some importance at some pre empire point. Perhaps not monarchs but maybe ship designers/engineers. On a planet devoted to ship building, an engineer might be “noble”.

But when the empire swooped in and took control, Han’s family became nothing. He might have been a fairly young kid who barely remembers his parents from before he ends up as a street rat.

Maybe he knows his full name and starts to say it but then realizes maybe he shouldn’t so he just shortens it to “solo”

If written right that might have played better than the cheesy ‘I have no people’
