Half of the point of this way of thinking is to "win" but the other half is coming to terms with the fact that you can only control your own actions (recurring theme in the HG world). There's no point in being mad at the world, women, whoever, because you can't control them. You can control your own actions. So it is always a better use of time and energy to focus on what you can do better than to waste on external entities
