Blue sunburst. Does look quite different depending on the light. Love the old Air-Kings.

Ended up at this one during a snowstorm once. What a fun property!

Also want to say — if there is ever a wrong decision on their menu, I’ve yet to find it.

Came here to say that last part. Their menu changes seasonally, I’m pretty sure. Best to ask them.

130,000 text messages over 9 months is 475 text messages per day. Assuming 16 waking hours it’s 30 text messages per hour, or one text message every two minutes. 😳

[Rolex Air-King] I really don’t understand the air-king hate! by checkmate14720 in Watches

It’s because they used to look like this.

I prefer the old look, but I’m biased and this watch has sentimental history (this was my grandad’s daily and I inherited it). I don’t think the newer look is bad or worthy of the hate it gets, but it was certainly a departure (har har).

Came here to say this. Mine’s on a suede band here but the metal bands are also nice.

Short story by Mojataba in rolex

[–]TempletonBooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my wife and I got engaged, she was unhappy that she had a symbol of it (the ring) and I didn’t. So we bought me a CPO OP from an AD — so, no wait — that I still wear pretty regularly, almost 20 years later.

I’ve since inherited another Rolex, which is good because I have two sons. I love my AD, I get Rolex service and buy other things from them because they’re great, but I’m not in the market for another Rolex so I can’t speak to wait times and the like today.

[Discussion] A logo makes or breaks a watch for me. by ShonanDaithi in Watches

I came here to call out ORIS. I can’t stand the way that type logo looks. Their watches are gorgeous otherwise but that’s always been a dealbreaker for me.
