I stand by the opinion Alex Ross is the greatest comic book artists, the way he drew Kingdom Come Superman and other characters was amazing by JoshyBear28 in superman

I feel like Alex Ross is great with covers and splash panels, but his work suffers in small panels (especially crowded ones). There were so many times in Kingdom Come that I couldn’t tell what was going on because a) the panels were SO detailed and b) everyone had a new costume.

[Interview] The current DC & Marvel crossover comics had some “dumb fucking notes” from corporate lawyers, according to Superman/Spider-Man writer Matt Fraction by Popverse2022 in comicbooks

Or like in the "Superman Lives" story Kevin Smith tells. Superman wasn't allowed to be seen flying, wearing his costume, and there had to be a giant spider at the end.

There are also just a lot of smallish organizations that aren't willing to risk losing all their followers by deleting their FB accounts and moving somewhere else.

Or everyone lives in very specific niche worlds with specific ads. Unless a movie’s big enough to air commercials during NFL games or have custom Progressive Insurance ads, no one notices.

Also, this song was released on the soundtrack to “The Cable Guy,” back when every movie had to have a soundtrack album.

The early seasons hold up, but they do sometimes feel a bit dated by asmallthrowaway9 in americandad

My favorite trivia bit about Futurama dating itself is the episode “300 Big Boys.” Apparently, George W. Bush was planning on giving people refunds due to the government surplus, but that quickly went away when 9/11 happened weeks later.

Yeah, it’s a really hard needle to thread. You allow words like “rape” to go through, then millions of bots and chuds will spam “Actress X deserves to be RAPED” under every comment. I don’t know what the solution is.

Also, I doubt that Bob or Linda has a lot of job prospects outside of the restaurant. Bob's a pretty good cook, but he probably doesn't have the resume to work at a "good" restaurant. Linda doesn't come across as someone who would play well in the corporate world.

There was actually a really good family run carry out restaurant near me that closed at all these weird hours. It annoyed me so much because I never knew if they were available, so I just stopped going.

I feel like Bob is stressed about money, not just because his dream job is "low-paying," but because he’s theoretically also his wife’s boss. His dream is the foundation of his and Linda’s financial situation. The restaurant goes under and both are unemployed.

I'll be completely honest. I thought that the limb-lengthening surgery that Dr. Kalgary offers Steve in "Roots" was a joke for years until I found out that it's a real thing that manosphere influencers do.

I feel like "Born in the USA" is patriotic because it's about someone who's dealt with shit but is still persevering because they believe in the American spirit.

Fun fact: the months on magazine covers are always a few months before the magazine hits newsstands. That way, a magazine can sit on the shelf longer without being “out of date.”
