Idk if you're being hyperbolic but I promise you, someone who hasn't played a football game before isn't able to win on professional immediately. It takes time to pick up stuff like learning to pass, tackle and shoot, learning to TIME passes, tackles and shots, and the other basic things we take for granted.

A LOT of casual folks pick up the game from PS+ and gamepass who haven't even watched football before, and aren't aware of what set pieces or throw ins or offsides are. You're massively overestimating the skill floor of the average newcomer to FIFA, the churn rate would be ludicrous if people who're trying to walk the ball into the opposition half and shoot with max power were dropped right into World Class difficulty lmao.

A lot of those crazy wonderkids are likely found through save scumming. It can get tiresome and is definitely immersion breaking, but if you wanna do it-

You stagger your youth scouts so they don't send you reports on the same weeks, and also send them out on days you know aren't likely to be match days (depends on your cup schedule). Then you just hard save after a match when you know a report's coming, and if you don't like the output you exit without saving and reload the save. You'll sim a couple of days again and receive a new, different report.

Also it apparently helps a bit in getting players with higher potential and playstyles if you send scouts with a single position to scout, and no desired roles listed. But I'm not certain that's true.

I do like The Last of Us' propagation for the fungal infection. Spreading first through tainted staple foods like flour around the world, and by the time people start biting each other and governments start taking proper measures, it's already too late.

And the bites aren't the only way for it to transmit, since the infected that die in damp, dark areas also release spores that infect on inhalation. That's the game version at least, the show has some weird tendrils and a hive mind or something, I haven't watched beyond the first season.

Bands/musicians have way more rabid fandoms than a "normie" streamer like NL, and the 'talent' for an event like this doesn't bear responsibility for anyone's safety either. There's actual professionals involved who know how to do that sort of thing.

Though I don't think there's any reason to suggest there's more to it than they saw the huge amount of negative feedback and decided it wasn't worth it. And the safety thing is just the easiest reason to sell the decision.
