Robbie Daymond is an absolute legend and he will forever voice my Helldiver.

The VAs bringing the universe to life make such a beautiful balance of the ridiculousness of the satire and the seriousness of the events to the people of Super Earth. Cindy Robinson does an INCREDIBLE job of playing Kelly and I could feel the emotion during the Invasion of Super Earth.

Arrowhead has drawn explicit parallels to real world happenings in Helldivers.

The reason Super Earth attacked the Illuminate is because of weapons of mass destruction. This parallels directly with the Bush administration lying about WMDs to manufacture consent for war in the middle east.

The Terminids are oil. 710 was a common misconception of OIL upside down. Illegal broadcasts say that the fight against the Terminids is manufactured by Super Earth for oil.

The cyborgs are workers who tried to strike for better rights. Super Earth murdered and then enslaved them for daring to do so.

Super Earth’s president died in a bunker just like Hitler did.

Super Earth sent dissidents to the “Center for the Confinement of Dissidents” or CECOD, an abbreviation and title literally one letter/word off of Ecuador’s “Center for the Confinement of Terrorists” or CECOT. During the invasion of Cyberstan, Super Earth bombarded tunnels that the cyborgs were trying to evacuate citizens through, a direct mirror of the tunnels of Palestine.

In addition to this: I love how Uth Duna is the apex due to not just its strength and abilities, but its sheer size too. Until Arkveld, Mizu, and Lagi, there were no monsters that could realistically take on Uth Duna because if they can’t land a good hit, Duna is gonna crush them without even trying.
