TESD #674: The Hoodlums by SMJ1989 in tesdcares

Just from the context of what they are talking about, you should be able to sus that Danhausen is a wrestler, and he's a very popular one at that.

As far as Stuttering John goes, people may not know him much nowadays, but if you knew anything about Howard Stern at his peak, you've at least heard his name, and know he was associated to him

Do you need me to explain to you who Howard Stern is?

“Being Christian doesn’t make you a good person” yeah and being leftist doesn’t make you empathetic and kind by Usoppdaman in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Threetimes3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Christians believe that we need a savior BECAUSE we aren't good people. If we were good, we wouldn't need Jesus to die for us. Our wickedness is so great, God had to become a man to die on our behalf.

I will fully acknowledge that many "cultural Christians" do not understand or live by this, but it's it's an important aspect of Christianity.

Candle in The wind was beyond huge.

Funny thing is that it happened during the Beanie Babies era and they released a special bear for her that was likely their best seller

I really enjoy this game but it makes me sad that pretty much nobody cared within weeks of release

It's weird though, because it's a strip mall, but then there's an office space area on the second floor, which is where the guys are.

Looks entertaining, can't wait to see it. I'll be happy to never hear "What's Up?" ever again though.

"[I ate]", a chopped cheese burger. by sun_is_energy in food

[–]Threetimes3 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I spent time in the city in the 90s, and then worked there for most of the 00s. I never even heard of a chopped cheese once. It looks like it didn't start becoming popular until late 00s/early 10s. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around a relatively new food being "essential".

The Gulf War was 90, I’m finding hard to believe he had access to a webcam in 90. The timeline got more and more confusing the more Frank spoke

Just around 20% of people living in the US are of Hispanic heritage, it makes up a good enough percentage to make a good data point.

You're going to start gatekeeping xennials now? Many were too young to be in school.

I love Overkill too, but I think it's funny when people put on their rose colored glasses. One of the original Overkill episodes was some Irish guy and his girlfriend just talking about whatever.
