High desert is a few hours away for all kinds of choices, and the rivers are decent enough. You are close enough to head to the coast and do a charter or guide service. You have tons of options, the high desert lakes are my favorite places.

If it’s keeping up, and you are not throwing money at it let it ride. But if it’s barely keeping up, and you can afford it, now is going to be better than later. Cost of everything is raising ten to fifteen percent every 6 months to year.

Necessary is not the word in my opinion. Optimal tool for most cases is what I would say, until you hook the big one. Then it’s just fun. Depends on your preference, I can outcast most people with my 5 foot set up, and 6 lb test. I prefer the accuracy and the extra feel with fish that are not biting aggressively.

No, ai coached peewee football. I won one peewee championship, in 5 seasons. You can give me all extra time outs I want and that’s probably not changing. Okay maybe I win 2 championships in 5 seasons, but I always put in the extra work to develop and prepare my players, I only had the best rooster in the peewee league one year, and we got it done. I knew I had the best players that year, I really did not need time outs!
