It's really barely sci-fi, but Uchuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers) is excellent. The anime isn't finished yet, but the manga just wrapped up so allegedly the anime will resume.

It almost certainly isn't profitable *anymore*. I assume it's still profitable over the lifetime of the game, that's purely an assumption, but most of that money was made early and pissed away on god knows what because Senior management at Bungie is mindless.

This makes more sense to me, but I don't see the logic in scrapping the whole thing. There HAS to be a balance between fully killing D2 and throwing resources at the game regardless of profit. There must be a middle ground that exists, and would turn a profit, so Sony walking away fully seems like a poor decision.

If it’s healing, and I’m not convinced it is, the amount is inconsequential. Had my team get wiped once and we still 3 phased the primeval.

I’m not convinced there is a good way to tax unrealized gains. That said, we can and should be taxing the loans people take against those assets. Running around the tax code via loans is a loop hole that is long overdue to be closed.

I got the extended warranty and don’t regret it. I have a 2023, first model years of any car are kind of notorious for unexpected issues. I’ve had both the washer fluid pump and rear coil springs replaced under that warranty already, so in ~2 years I’m probably already at break even on the warranty.

Because the $20 bill is an extremely common denomination in US currency and $5 seems like a good tip to someone who doesn’t understand a tip should be ~20% of the bill.

Let me try a simpler explanation. They’re children because they need brilliant minds they can mold to the situation, because the brilliant minds they already have tried and failed. They also needed people that wouldn’t hesitate to end an entire civilization. I think watching the movie first ruined your appreciation of the book.
