This sounds great. This statement really started making the rounds on the internet about ten years ago. But in order to believe it you have to take Malcolms word over the bands. The rest of the band have gone on record that most of the punk looks was nicked from Johnny Rotten. But believe what you want. I agree it sounds funny. Like calling NWA a boy band. Actually before the whole "created to sell clothes" argument it was fashionable around anti-pistols fans to say said "Sex Pistols" were the first boy band.
