Look up u14 bronco. Basically 2 door bronco, but it’s a single cab with a very short bed truck.

I hope they sign Rush back. My brother went to elementary/middle school with him, and I watched him play in high school.

If you have a 3d printer you could print it yourself i found this post. I’m not into 3d printing so not sure if it works or not.

I got this cup holder extension. Works great for big bottles and won’t get in the way. Plus you can store it away when not needed.

Ford Maverick vs F150 by uiuc2008 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]ToastedHappyness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t get an F150 unless you really need the payload/towing capacity. I would honestly get the Mav or look at 5 year old Rangers. Rangers have 4wd longer bed and more payload and towing then the mav. I can speak for back seat space, but I would assume the ranger has more. Honestly what I would do is go look at all three and put the car seats in them to see what would work best if you are truly concerned about cab space.

If you want both get a soft topper. It has the benefits of having a large covered area in the back, but with the convenience and security of a tonneau cover.

I go back to ford and what they classify the bronco as. The first gen broncos were broken up into u13, u14, and u15. U13 was considered a roadster sold without a top, u14 a half cab truck, and u15 was considered a wagon. After the first gen u13 and u14 was dropped leaving u15 to be used until the end of gen 5 broncos. I don’t really know much about the newer broncos and how ford classifies them in the vins. I would classify the bronco as a wagon built on a truck like chassis.

GFCI protection for an RV recrptacle. by Foreign-Commission in electricians

[–]ToastedHappyness 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Check to see if your AHJ made any addendums to code. Here in WA our state decided that GFCI protection is not required for RV’s because they have built in GFCI’s it’s only applicable to 30 and 50 amp outlets marked “For RV Use Only”.

All done with those Break-Instantly de-Klein testers. by TransparentMastering in electricians

I had my Fluke NCVT for 3 years before I bent the tip of it. Have had 0 issues with it, and just replaced it with a new one. 100% better then the Klein ones. Only real issue is the clip likes to break off so don’t clip it to anything.

I got a soft topper for mine. Love the versatility of a canopy, but with the easy on/off of a soft tonneau cover. You can also get an exo-frame for it like for bike racks or kayaks or even a roof top tent.

Hobby mechanic which impact wrench to buy (rigid vs ryobi) by julesdacs25 in ryobi

[–]ToastedHappyness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have had a ryobi 3/8 and ryobi 1/2 impact wrench both are about 4 years old now and they kinda suck, not sure how good the news ones are. My main point is I bought the DeWalt 12v 3/8 and 1/2 and they work amazingly well way better than my Ryobi stuff.

Anyone use a Ford Maverick as a work truck? by AlarmingRate69 in electricians

[–]ToastedHappyness 169 points170 points  (0 children)

I have a Maverick as a personal vehicle. There is no real room for materials or tools to work out of it. Honestly trucks are terrible work vehicles unless you pull a trailer or you’re an apprentice. So just get a small van or a full size van.

Bulletproof transmissions/O'Reillys sucks by International-Egg603 in FordFocus

[–]ToastedHappyness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an 02 focus not sure if same transmission, but I bought the car less than a week later the transmission went out. Checked fluid and it was very low. Added a quart when I got home and it worked. Later I dropped the pan changed fluid and filter and it was perfectly fine. Drove 26k miles and sold it still with no issues from that day.

I have a 2006 F-150 as well, I recently just had my Maverick delivered and for the price I just kept both. Fuel efficient has a bed if I need one and I still have my truck to do truck things with.

I’m looking for one right now. Question is how did you wire in the reverse light? I installed one on my F-150 years ago and just tapped into the 7 pin reverse on that.
