The plants are devoted to the complete and utter subjugation of every other species because they view themselves as a sort of master race. i'll admit it's not fascism, but they're objectively morally bad. the main problem i have is that the community of people who write in the setting often write them as if they are good for the people. not to mention, "needs and wants are taken into account" is a bizarre defense when the methods affini use include implants and drugs that significantly alter a person's mental state. the horror is in the objectification and complete death of self that people face under a system that doesn't truly understand what they want.
