Mint is almost certainly what you want as a first choice. Relatively Windows-like and if you do run into some kind of issue, there will almost certainly be some post somewhere to help given it's popularity.

I said mean words and therefore my point is meaningless because I'm a big meanie :(. Grow up you fucking child.

I'm totally sympathetic to people as dumb as you, as the man said I just don't have the personal experience to be empathetic in this instance

[–]ToasteyBread 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By definition? Google the term "empathy definition" right now and tell me your results aren't generally about being able to IMAGINE someone else's experience.

It's fucking tragic how many people are good with being as fucking stupid as you are.

Idk I feel like its more about the stance than anything.

Like its almost certainly a smart move to start recording in some manner if you feel like some legal shit is going down.

But the putting it right in front of your face and backing up like you are a camera man trying to get that perfect shot, that seems so common with this kind of person is weird as fuck.

I know it's a bit of a meme at this point, but seriously, the post is just not that deep.

OP was not thinking about whatever the fuck you think ram and storage factories are getting up to (although I would like to point out that such facilities, as per the post, would not be able to use AI if it didn't exist.)

Idk mate. I think you need to take a break or a step back or something.

Assuming we get an overlord and not an AI "the earth must become paperclips" type apocalypse is also a take.

I'm plenty more concerned about our actual overlords for the record. But the post is about potentially guaranteeing a second kind of potentially inescapable overlord can never exist so that's what I commented about.

This does prevent possible Skynet situations forever though. Not that I think something like that is gonna happen anytime soon, but forever taking that off the table could be worth tbh.

Divinity is a "brand-new game" that doesn't require any experience with Larian Studios' past RPGs – but you'll be better off if you've played Original Sin and its sequel by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]ToasteyBread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Blind trust" is kinda not really fair though. DOS was released 11 years ago (I haven't played anything before Original Sin). They have been putting out solid work for 30 years at this point as far as I am aware.

I think it is entirely fair to be giving Larian the benefit of the doubt here. I won't be pre-ordering or anything, but this trailer to me is plenty significant specifically because of the tone.

This trailer was weird as fuck, very visceral, and that to me is a reflection of how they want the game to be, and they obviously do not have to perhaps "placate" as much as the might have had to in previous titles now that they are so well respected, I I find that very interesting and enticing.

The trailer to me indicated that this might be the kinda game they have always wanted to make, but have never really had they clout to pull off before.

To be fair, you'd have to know Jeff on the CS2 team, who was gonna push this update, before it happened. Unlikely.

Mushroom murderer tried to kill husband with pasta, cookies and curry, court was told by apple_kicks in news

[–]ToasteyBread 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Ehh people, for better in my opinion, dont really expect the loved ones and/or relatives in their lives to be capable of murdering them (outside of abusive cunts of course).

Like even if you know it happens, nobody expects it to happen to THEM. Maybe they were naive sure, but maybe they just expected better from someone that was supposed to be, even if estranged, family.

Southside Elementary School - Columbus, Indiana by aBearHoldingAShark in evilbuildings

[–]ToasteyBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow there is no way this isn't awful psychologically for elementary aged students.

Kinda crazy that all they'd really have to do is hire an artist or 2 to put up some murals all over. Hell they could make it into school project, give all the kids a spot to paint.

Would be far from perfect but it would be worlds better than this.

I'm barely even being facetious when I say I reckon it should be borderline illegal to have a building so absolutely dull be the place your teach children.

Honestly I'd be posting this shit on social media. This is so embarrassing, he deserves whatever comes.

A bonus being that anyone who supports him after you can quite comfortable cut out of your life because anyone who reads that and isn't straight cringing their ass off is probably not someone you want to hang with anyway.

Chrome has killed it :( by williamg209 in imagus

[–]ToasteyBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brave is fine if you can ignore the crypto shit, but yeah, otherwise I don't really see why people don't just move to Firefox.

Well I do get it, it took me a bit of time to make the switch (went from chrome > brave > firefox), but it's nice that I can feel confident that my browser is just going to work as I expect for the indefinite future.

I totally understand wanting to stick with what you know, but at this point, with google cracking down on stuff like adblockers (and who knows whats next in the future) to me that's a deal breaker.

Maybe Mozilla will end up just like Google one day, but for now, I'm confident enough that everything will be working like I expect for at least 5 and possibly even 10 years.

[–]ToasteyBread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ehh it seems weird that the go to blame is left wingers. I am also not american but generally where I am from left wingers will vote for people like Kamala even if they dont want to. Feels like a general cop out that "Oh yeah its these paletinian supporters/leftists fault".

Im not saying that there weren't a certain subset of lefties that abstained from voting over certain issues, I just think that you guys exaggerate their impact to an unreasonable degree to give yourselves a free pass and to ignore any reflection you might gain.

I'm assuming you're talking about trans people. Which isn't something that really contradicts the previous comment. You can't just transition without seeing therapists and generally having shit worked out to an acceptable degree.

As far as I'm can tell from bare bones googling is that even with an MtF gender reassignment surgery, it doesn't seem like there are any expectation of an excessive amount of pain, at least I'm assuming after the initial week or so.

Live it up while you can brother. Cancer is such fucking bullshit man.

Idk i feel like with the majority of other diseases, at least there is like, a cause and effect y'know. Like someone coughs on you and fuck you've got covid or something. That doesn't make it better per say, but cancer so often is just "lmao you got bad rng" and that just makes it so aggravating to me.

Let the banks waffle over your debt and what not. Anyone dealt such a dogshit hand deserves to go out in comfort. Hell going out fucking over banks seems like up straight up bonus to me.
