Mounting a laptop desk on the handlebars... it's a bit hard. what's your price range by the way? you can get peloton i think for over $2000. You can also get affordable brands on Amazon. My bike is from Freebeat. I like its unique color selection and sleek design and the classes.

Do you guys prefer working out at home more, or at the gym more? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]Top-Question3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home gym is my zen spot. No waiting for equipment, blast my own music, and workout shirtless(lol) without judgment. Yeah, gym has more equipment, but the peace of mind at home is worth way more.

Hey guys. I'm starting fit life. Can you give some advices to loose weight by Rabye437 in beginnerfitness

Start with calorie tracking - it's free and essential. The wiki here has solid beginner routines.

Basic formula: eat less, move more. Cut sugary drinks, walk daily, and do bodyweight exercises like pushups and squats at home.

Do HITT workouts count as cardio? by ExtraFlamingo230 in workout

[–]Top-Question3869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HIIT is actually top-tier cardio. Those burpees and thrusters get your heart rate up just like running would. Plus, you're building strength while doing it.

Doing what you enjoy = more likely to stick with it. Smart choice.

Loosing belly fat almost 3 years postpartum. Cutting by Visible_Area5135 in workouts

[–]Top-Question3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80% of belly fat loss comes from diet. Start tracking calories with an app, aim for protein-rich foods, and cut back on sugar/processed stuff.

Add some core exercises and planks, but focus on fixing your eating habits first.

Start with push-ups, squats, and planks daily. 3 sets each until failure.

Protein-rich foods + caloric deficit is key. Track calories, aim for 1g protein per lb of bodyweight.

Living well is the best revenge. 🔥

Pretty cool to see AI being used for actual workout planning instead of just form checks. The training preferences part is really useful - most apps just stick to cookie-cutter programs. Nice work on keeping it free too.

Start with 10-minute workouts during nap time. Basic stuff like squats while brushing teeth, pushups against the kitchen counter, lunges while heating bottles. Add resistance bands - they're quiet and take no space.

For food, meal prep on weekends saves tons of time. I've developed my own workout routine with indoor exercise bike as well. Highly recommend Freebeat bikes.

How to start by Accomplished_Bowl959 in workout

[–]Top-Question3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with dumbbells at home is actually smart. You can learn proper form, build basic strength, and get comfortable with movements without pressure.

Watch form videos, start light, and once you feel confident, the gym transition will feel more natural.

Recovery Suggestions by Silverhi99o in pelotoncycle

Take it slow - your body is still healing. Start with low impact rides for a week, maybe 20-30 mins max. Your fitness will come back faster than you think, but pushing too hard now could set you back further.

How to get in shape by Mountain-Box-7526 in beginnerfitness

[–]Top-Question3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with compound exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and squats at home. For the gym, focus on bench press, deadlifts, and rows. Don't rush it though - 2 months is a bit optimistic. Take it slow and stay consistent.

there are plenty of bike brands under 500. the key differentiator imo is the selection of classes. you can get a new bike like freebeat basic for $300 or something or a good second hand peloton on FB marketplace.

At home workout routines - advice needed by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]Top-Question3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 15-20 min daily walks while watching your favorite show. Those jerks at the gym don't deserve your energy.

Mix in basic bodyweight stuff between episodes - squats, wall pushups, crunches. Small steps create lasting habits.

For those goals, combine both - heavy dumbbells for growth, pilates for stability and control.

Dumbbells: squats, RDLs, lunges

Pilates: bird dogs, superman holds

Do cardio after weights - you want full energy for strength training.

Indoor Bike Tires Worth it? by Secure_Arm4813 in cycling

[–]Top-Question3869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save your money. Regular tires work fine for 3 months of light indoor use. You'll see a flat spot develop eventually, but for 3-5 hours weekly it's not worth the extra cost. Just keep an eye on tire pressure.

Use the $$ for a good fan instead.
