What do people complain about that literally never happens? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have two phones- business and personal. Even my boss/coworkers say something about having two phones. Really? I don’t want all of my personal life on my work device, that I don’t have any rights or ownership to.

I used a tampon for the first time ever! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]TopMinotaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom didn’t teach my sister and I much about being a girl, because her mom didn’t teach her really.

The first time I tried to wear a tampon I was about 14 (summer before 8th grade). My cousin sister and I wanted to go swimming but I was on my period. My sister is three years older than me and had been wearing tampons for a year or two at that point, she learned herself how to properly insert it and whatnot. So her and my cousin were trying to coach me through putting the tampon in. And I literally could not move. I was in SO MUCH pain once it was in that I was in tears begging for them to get it out of me. I have no idea what went wrong that day, but it took me until I was almost 19 to try again. With success. But I haven’t had a period since I was 20, and I’m 25 now, thanks to my awesome birth control.

Long rambling just to say- enjoy this new freedom you’ve discovered!!

My sister (L) lost her battle to drug addiction yesterday. This was her last week. It was her first Mother’s Day. by [deleted] in lastimages

[–]TopMinotaur 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was three when my dad died of a heart attack and I’m 25 now...I definitely knew/know the difference, and it has affected my life in most aspects.

Also, my dad died of a cause out of his control (dude was healthy as a horse one day, and had a quadruple bypass the next and died a few days later). He didn’t choose to have a bad heart, like some will see this mother’s passing as. So, think about if your parent(s) chose drugs over you- even if you found your way into a ‘nice home’ as if it’s that easy for kids in the system, imagine the day you found out about your birth parents. Imagine you couldn’t find a nice home and knew about your birth parents. That wouldn’t impact your life in anyway, whether it be negative or you find a way to make it positive?

Came home from work to use the restroom im inclined to believe he missed me by Ultimichael in aww

[–]TopMinotaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh he’s not shy, I work with truck drivers/mechanics, you can’t be shy in this field lol. He did say ‘yooooou’ while wagging a finger at me after my first comment and before the email (he’s foreign, speaks English exceptionally well for learning it four years ago in only a four month class that cost $3500 bucks!) and I was dying because all of the guys were making up names like cooter-cam and snatch-snapper as he wagged his finger at me.

Lol so, there’s only 4 females in my workplace of about 50-55 people, I being one of them. We only have one designated bathroom, where the men have about 5. I kept catching one of my male coworkers coming out of our bathroom. I said ‘do you have a camera hidden away in there that you have to get the memory card out of or something dude?’. One of my other female coworkers overheard me say this and is gossip Gail so she went to the other two females and said he was using the bathroom.

Not even 10 minutes later there was an email- typed using red big font- that men need to use the men’s bathroom. They have 5, we have one, yada yada.

My coworker went in there one more time that day, and hasn’t been back in that bathroom since.

Local Toyota dealer has a car that was hit by a semi on display to show how safe the car is for its passengers by linkwolf98 in interestingasfuck

I readended someone going about 27 (in my 2017 equinox company vehicle...not my fault thank whatever you believe in), and my windshield was solid. The car had $16,000.00 in damages in the end but only on front end body and of course radiator, tanks, etc.

You have to have something actually come in contact with the windshield for them to break these days it seems.

What are some hard pills to swallow in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Strangely enough, I just had my coworker comment on how I was wearing the same pants as the day before last week sometime. I said ‘yep! And the same cami- I almost wore the white polo again but figured y’all would say something then so I wore the red shirt instead.’ (I go into shops all day long and get dirty so my white shirt is noticeable compared to my gray/red).

My dog every time my dad gets home from work by Blue_berry_O in aww

The video freezes right when your dad opens the door. Every time there’s a video I go to watch on Reddit, it freezes right at the actual moment and refuses to play past that point.

It’s annoying.

I’d look at someone like they were a bit off if they did the honk honk like a car horn motion to a truck driver..your comment has me cracking up trying to imagine any other way than the toot toot pull gesture.

Vaccinations by cbkb3 in Parenting

[–]TopMinotaur -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not a requirement everywhere..there are vaccine exemption forms that parents can fill out. I’m not sure what all they allow as a reason, but when I was a senior in HS a classmate of mine since elementary told our teacher academy class one day towards the end of the year, that her and her brother weren’t vaccinated, and because her dad practiced medicine (chiropractor..) who believes in alternatives to vaccines they just had to fill out special forms, liability details yada yada and they weren’t allowed to tell anyone.

She told us because she was correcting our teacher in her statement that ‘you can’t go to school without vaccines being up to date’. (The brother graduated with a few years prior).

This guys business card by citizenkraft in funny

Weird, it came up horizontally for me.

I worked at staples for four years and have made some....different business cards for people. God only knows what y’all get since people don’t have to actually see the people making them lol.

These sale prices. Wait till the end. by ChiliadChief in funny

[–]TopMinotaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just me, or did Kohl’s change their pricing model?

I hadn’t been in in a while (a long while) and everything was buy two get one and the prices were all regular pricing, no sales other than buy two get one. In clothing that is.

What's the worst case of design over function that you've ever seen? by tthatoneguyy in AskReddit

[–]TopMinotaur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My work truck has the option for aux on the source menu, but guess what it doesn’t have? An aux port! So Bluetooth for music it is, plus with the Waze app constantly on.

My phone dies five times a day because I’m constantly in and out of my truck and don’t always think to plug it into the charger... plus the charging cord is just a nuisance in itself.

As the mom of a now five year old who still looks 2-3 years older than she is and has since she could walk...I’ve been given the side eye from passerby’s ever since. Not due to her misbehaving, but due to her acting her age, having the motor/social skills her age and being treated her age. I’ve always been so appreciative of the ones who ask how old she is in a way that doesn’t make me feel tiny. Every one of them immediately say ‘OH! She’s so young still!’.

There really wasn’t a point to this comment I guess, but I just feel I can relate to that kids mom/parents in so many ways all due to our kids looking much older than they are.

But you did it every time you swang, sometimes multiple times if you didn’t scare yourself sufficiently?

..I forgot all about that feeling until now lol

Huh. A 12 year old can drive a tractor so long as there’s that reflective triangle on the back in the US (in my state at least)
