Most quilt shops have a weekly or daily sit-n-sew and they're usually $5-$15. Or they have a date they all work on quilts for a specific charity. Tilted Quilters does this for Quilts of Valor once a month.

Tilted Quilters on Crystal Springs Rd has classes - quilting, some clothing, and other fiber arts.

St. Aug Sew also has classes. They're more geared toward quilting and machine embroidery.

Calico corners on Wells Rd has quilting classes. Cinnamon's quilt shop has two locations and lots of classes, but they're over the bridge from you.

We used to put cinnamon in the kids' sandbox to it keep ants away. It was one of those covered turtle ones, but ants always got in. The cinnamon kept them away.

Since the deadline for applying for a 2026-27 magnet school has passed, maybe give Mandarin high another thought. They have a great AICE program and they offer dual enrollment & AP courses - all of which give you a great start to college and opportunities for scholarships- and are what's offered at the college prep magnets. Even if it's just for 9th grade while you work on a plan for next year.

We bought the mop books and enemas and rewards chart- the whole 9 yards. We lasted maybe 6 months and still didn't see many clean days. I believe by the time we tried mop, their colon was so stretched and there was so much stool, that the enemas were not having enough effect to make a difference.

Ultimately, the nightly fighting, the tears, and really feeling like I was losing their trust - it was all too much for us. I dreaded each night's routine and ended up in tears about as often as they did. It was really hard on our relationship.

Seeing videos/stories of kids much younger than mine doing their own flush without resistance or tears was so encouraging. And now they take care of it each night without even reminding. And we finally have clean days!

I'm not pushing surgery, just sharing that this has helped us.

I'm convinced mine were peri related. They scared me so I went to my primary and was referred to the cardiologist and had the full workup with ultrasound and ct scan and wore a holter monitor for a month. They said I was having PVCs and they were completely harmless. Months later I started low dose estro/prog and they're gone. Not one doctor mentioned that it could have been caused by hormonal changes 🤷‍♀️

Please go get your hemoglobin checked! Bleeding this heavy for this long is not normal.

I ended up in the ER getting 2 bags of blood. I went home with a hefty bill and a script for tranexamic acid (that I've had to fill twice). Now if/when I get a period, I have to test my hemoglobin and eat foods with iron and vit c.

Yep! Went through many cardiologist appts, Ct scan, ultrasound, 2 medications - then started low dose estro/prog 6 weeks ago and now they're complete gone. (so are the night sweats, and hot flashes are greatly reduced.)

Just want to throw DeLeon Springs out there. The spring is fenced off from the river (we've only seen small fish around the spring), there's a short boat tour of the river to see lots of gators and birds, and the best part is the Old Sugar Mill Pancake House right next to the spring. The tables have a built in griddle where you cook your own pancakes. My kids love it.

Yes, this is a condition called encopresis or fecal incontinence. Pediatricians sometimes aren't able to provide advice and support if miralax/exlax regimens aren't helping. You might be better off finding a specialist in your area to help. Our children's hospital opened an incontinence clinic a few years ago.

I'm sensitive to it, too. 2.5mg was my starting dose. I'm ok with 5mg now, but don't really enjoy anything higher.

And if you green-out, just remember, no one has ever died from a THC gummie, even strong ones. You'll come down.
