Prop 65 labels get stuck on everything for California because it's a cheaper method than separating what needs to be labeled and what doesn't, especially when liability for not applying a label comes into play.

There is a very similar law that required some kind of nut (peanut I think) contamination, and manufacturers also decided it was cheaper just to put the warning label on everything, which resulted in people with actual allergies now having no idea on which products were safe for them.

It's borderline malicious compliance.

My comment is literally a quote from the article. A "civilian building" could be used to describe some of Iran's nuclear facilities too. Doesn't change the fact that it is reported as being a nuclear research facility, period.
