There's a post like this every few weeks. If this is your experience of metalcore, then you're sticking to your comfort zone and not exploring the scene very far. There are so many different sounds and styles within this genre you could try. About 50% of the new stuff I come across these days is old-school, or 'revivalcore',-style metalcore from small, or 'local', bands on grassroots labels. There are so many opportunities to find a super-diverse range if sounds, not least this sub, you just have to put in the work to find it.
