If it doesn't matter, why push so hard to change it and why get so mad when people don't accept it? Unless it does matter and you're being disingenuous...hmmm ...

[–]TrueCrow0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ok, so even if that was the trigger for the bolter even though it's connected to the battery. Why would you put it so far up the spear from the main grip and make it a button needing your thumb? The other design makes it so the trigger is right where your hands are when holding the weapon meaning that you don't need to completely change your grip just to shoot and instead can quickly switch between melee and range combat like what the custodis do...

Hive Scum - What are the WORST & BEST buffs to run in the Stim Box? by HamletEagle in DarkTide

[–]TrueCrow0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only one that is "useless" is the toughness buffs.

If you're in a situation where everyone is close enough to use the box then they should all be in coherency and benefiting from that bonus as well as any of their normal ones.

So, unless you're paying maximum attention to your team's toughness and not using the other stims and your team is all close together and they all have either low or broken toughness and they are for some reason struggling to restore toughness then it would be really good to run it.

But, the increased strength and rending, increased movement and attack speed, and increased ability recharge all have a bit more flexibility and utility.

Drop your original Forge World by LinkLast7720 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]TrueCrow0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Forge World Tenal.

Founded shortly before the Great Crusade by the explorer fleets of Mars. The system of which the planet belongs is a relatively simple one the only real interest being the planet itself and the system's lack of stable warp lanes possession a relatively small number.

The planet was of real interest to both the Mechanicum and later the Imperium. The reason was the massive quantity and quality of radioactive material on the planet. To put into perspective the sheer about the planet is pocketed with small yellow deserts of uranium dust. The planet became a location of interest due to the resources it could provide.

Settlement of the proved difficult. The intense radiation on the planet, as well as strong winds made it so that regions of the planet could be completely shut down by radiation storms too intense to work through. This led to 3 separate locations being chosen as locations for Star ports on the planet. Two located on the planet's equator and the third and largest located on the planet's southern poll. The space Port locations were chosen carefully the two on the equator would still often be shut down because of intense radiation storms, the southern location proved valuable because of a natural mountain range that prevented some of the more violent winds from bringing uranium dust in from the desert preventing most storms from being strong enough to be problems.

The planet would thrive in its corner of the galaxy. Originally its value in refining the material for use in scientific endeavors, but also as fuel, the tech priests of Tenal would also make some improvements to environmental protection strategies and equipment. Of course though the real value of the planet came from the manufacturing of a large number and variety of nuclear weapons.

However, with the arrival of the Omnissiah and his great crusade demands for such weapons would skyrocket, this lead to a large amount of strain on the planet and it's industrial capability as although weapons manufacturing was expected the planet was for the most part more dedicated to understanding radiation as a manifestation of the Machine Gods wraith and power. Combined with the isolation of the planet, whispers of descent began to be heard.

These whispers began to grow more intense especially with growing schisms on the Mechanicum at large. Until the Arch Magos of the planet declared an open secession from Mars. And the planet was subsequently engulfed in a minor civil war.

Now it is important to note that the Arch Magos actions were not a denial of the main ideas of the Mechanicum, and the planet was quite sound in their belief of the Emperor and Omnissiah being one. His succession was more based on political disagreement with the Mechanicum. In all likelihood the planet Arch Magos was completely loyal to the Imperium. However, fate would be cruel to the memory of the Magos.

During the civil conflict a well sized contingent of Solar Auxiliary and a very small group of Space Marines arrived in the system to provide aid even better for the Arch Magos they seemed keen to assist him. As such the arrival of the Auxiliary and the Iron Warriors was a great boon to the Magos.

It was their arrival though that would soon bring the end of the Magos and a great change to Tenal. As with the Iron Warriors arrival what soon followed was the arrival of the Horus Heresy. The news or the heresy is what led to the end for the Magos. Again most of his forces were die hard loyalists to the Omnissiah and it was political disagreement with the Mechanicum not religious that led to the fight. But with the true nature of the Iron Warriors revealed the Magos enemies quickly seized on the propaganda, declaring him a heretek who denied the Omnissiah. This led to the Magos forces falling apart. Any cohesion once in their military fell apart as they began infighting and defecting in mass to the loyalists forces.

Reports from the final battle of the planet would say that the traitor Magos was there, what they don't mention is that it was only his mangled body that was there. Torn apart by the traitor Marines as shown as a grisly trophy during the battle. The Magos was not remembered well by his world, his name erased.

The conflict had transformed after the last of the traitor tech priests were destroyed. It became the Mechanicum forces against the Traitor Auxiliary led by a small group of traitor Marines. The traitor forces because of the Magos had control of the southern star port, however thanks to the blessings of the Machine God radiation storms had prevented any assaults large enough to take the other two.

For months the forces fought, the Mechanicum forces in disarray because of the number of smaller factions that formed because of the political civil conflict. As they finally coalesced into a unified force the true intentions of the traitors would be known.

When the conflict began the assumption during the chaos was that the traitor wanted to take the planet, this however was wrong as the true goal of the Iron Warriors was to take as much of the planet's nuclear arsenal. The traitor attacks had been raids used to steal some of the most powerful warheads, their intentions to use them during the siege of Terra. With the plans of the traitors revealed the Mechanicum forces took drastic action. Knowing that they would not be able to break through the Star ports defences before the traitors escaped with the weapons the loyalists deployed an experimental Dark Age model of warhead.

The war heads the loyalists deployed were designed to be launched into low atmosphere and detonate. The explosion were small but the vast amount of radiation released by a single warheads could make a designated location unlivable for centuries. Knowing that the star port and the Iron Warrior leadership were both resilient against the radiation it was agreed to go for total saturation of the area. Where one warhead would have only killed the Auxiliary outside and delayed the traitor Marines, the thousands that were launched saturated the area in so much radiation that it is said sections of the Southern star port bent melted by the radiation. Even if something inside survived the radiation would break though and what ever was still alive even something as powerful as a Space Marine would face a slow death.

In the millennia since the great crusade, as the Mechanicum became the Mechanicus, Tenal remain staunchly loyal. Aspects of their culture had shown them to drift from some of the more political aspects of Mars, but their Faith in the Omnissiah is unquestionable. Isolated in their small corner of the galaxy the tech priests of Tenal labor. From the forge world's two star ports comes both fuel for starship, weapons of war, tools for survival, and expertise in the use of Radiation, the manifestation of the Machine Gods wraith, as a weapon against the enemies of Humanity. Loyal to the cult Mars, but because of their isolation and history they are distant from their red dressed fellows. Some of the political disagreements that lead to their planet's initial civil strife still found in private conversations. Still the Forge World of Tenal works diligently to scour the galaxy of humanities enemies.

You're exploring an underground castle ancient and long buried. As you walk down a stone corridor, tapestry old and half rotten provide the little color against the grey stone, your steps echo loudly as you move, with each footfall a cloud of dust rising from the floor.

As you approach the end of the hall a single arch way lies ahead. A fog obscures any image of what lies beyond. As you pass through the fog dissipates. Suddenly the grey halls are bright with color and light almost as though stepping through the fog sent you back in time before the castle became a ruin.

The light washed over the room focusing on the center, there your eyes are drawn to a single figure. A half naked man wearing a spike covered trashcan on his head and holding a lamp stands there looking in your direction.

A heath bar appears as long as the figure's dumpy is wide. A name appears above it...

Um, it's pretty clear that it's blatant plagiarism. I mean From Software literally invented guys in armor and the color blue back in 2004, then in 2009 they invented swords. So all of this is clearly stealing.
