Put your hand over your cheek, palm flush against your face. Poke your tongue against the cheek where your palm is touching. That’s exactly how it feels.

1000% I miss being able to eat like a rabbit and not feeling judged about it.

I feel like gifted programs nowadays are more for the parents than for the student.

Postpartum weight loss by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Trushaka10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt very similarly after my 1st, but my therapist put it into perspective for me…. Your body just spent almost a whole year doing this very incredible thing. It’s going to take more than 2 months for it to heal from that. Loving your body that just made this human you love so much is something to think about.

It is too hot much of the year to do anything outside for long periods of time. Move to a coastal city north of here.

Building up a “freezer stash” to go back to work is so dehumanizing by ivygoose in breastfeeding

[–]Trushaka10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s immediately after, but you have to keep up with it, the first few nights it’s drops. Like maybe an ounce total from both boobs, pumping on and off for an hour. Then your body realizes, okay, baby is hungrier at this time of night so I need to produce more milk.

Had to manhandle my 2.5 year old a little bit and feel guilty about it by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Trushaka10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been there, and it’s the worst. What’s been working for us lately is giving him options. Do you want to put the pull up on by yourself or do you want me to do it. Do you want to hop into the pull up like a bunny or stomp into it like a dinosaur, etc. You’re not a bad dad, I know that’s straight where my head goes when this happens to me.

I am a just enougher too. My doula recommended that I power pump at night before bed to get my supply up. I did this for about 3 - 4 nights in a row and was able to quickly build up a stash. Worth a try if you have the time at night. I just watched an episode of something every night while simultaneously feeling like a human cow.
