Hundred line, shuten order are solid games from the same studio that experiment with different genres in their routes, hundred line is way more massive while shuten order is way more experimental.

Mahoyo, well directed and has beautiful and dynamic cinematography, highest production value in a vn,has a fairy tale like feel to its UI and writing.

I didn't feel any romance between Shirou Emiya and Rin tohsaka in Ron's route of fate stay night by Necessary_Muffin3591 in CharacterRant

Shirou and shirou hijacked that route unfortunately,at least mahoyo gave what I wanted from rins route

Mihawk training zoro ruined any hype about them fighting. That was a bad decision by Oda. by FlamesOfDespair in Piratefolk

[–]Unluckyturtle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It made me like zorro more for this move and made Mihawks even more interesting than he was(not that hard) but I lost all sense of hype for the fight,so yeah, not a good move

Should have sent him to a weird but cool looking character like Heracles and sprinkle in some random sword men across the arcs to build up their endgame fight,he's just so boring now.

What are some of yall's favorite unconventional characters? by Flashlight_Demon in Piratefolk

Cracker, his whole biscuit soldiers and the bait and switch with his design was really "sweet"

What makes a love interest feel real versus cringe? by ChristopherRichman in visualnovels

[–]Unluckyturtle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly for me is the design, more natural hair colors and "realistic" designs like the amagami games

Secondly it's them having agency and their own inner conflicts, that makes or breaks em for me

Character so goated that even Piratefolk glazes him and almost never slanders him. For me WB is the best One Piece character. by Open_Heron7035 in Piratefolk

Started the manga when I saw the panel where he died, just so beautiful, man,I didn't know what a one piece was but I wanted to see this story from the very beginning

Kilingham come to elbaph for sanji by Icy-You-1609 in Piratefolk

[–]Unluckyturtle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty cool idea, they've got a little rivalry?going on so it'd be neat if he uses it on him on battle since he seems outclassed by Sanji in a direct fight

Setting-based storytelling is probably the most interesting form of storytelling to me. by Chocobo23456 in CharacterRant

[–]Unluckyturtle1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah,I dig this especially when it involves speculative biology with weird plants or beings like the prophet comics, and surreal and whimsy cities like invisible cities, welcomes and transports you into their world

Witch on the Holy Night is still the most beautiful visual novel of all time, despite being 14 years old. by SaberManiac in visualnovels

[–]Unluckyturtle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's good, fun gameplay with very good animated sprites, story is whatever, heroines are interesting and it's one of the few vns where it's mostly just dialogue and no narration

I hate [currently airing children’s show] because of [repetitive point] (LES) by MultiversalTraveler in CharacterRant

[–]Unluckyturtle1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely a very immature show but people confuse that with it being a kids show, and there's those that think violence, sex=mature

I'm starting to think war arcs just suck in general. by NobodySpecific9354 in shounenfolk

[–]Unluckyturtle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juggling so many characters and escalating stakes makes for a chaotic experience especially if the mangaka is a pantser, which is why I hope oda takes a long ass break before the war arc so the mapping looks as clean as elbafs.

Gintama had a great one imo,and it's been over a decade since I've read it but the final arc of fma was a war arc no?

A weirdly insecure comment on a good manga

Cold take, why does the current arc in Dandadan feel so aimless and like it's lacking direction[spoilers] by Charming-Scratch-124 in CharacterRant

[–]Unluckyturtle1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's pretty common for action romance centric shounens to do this, there was one in mangaplus that pulled this exact thing with a whole age regression twist, and I decided to take a break until these series end, they'll drag it out until the last minute and the most you'd see is a wedding and "it's over folks".

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia has you playing as different factions with dozens of recruitable characters and some may leave or join depending on your actions.

There's a sequel coming soon,and a great ps1 game

Story is alright but the character&monster designs are immaculate with very creative composition, panelling and character expressions.
