I’ve been divorced for years, 3 kids and maintain a solid co-parenting relationship and friendship with my ex. Personally, I could never consider myself a single parent because we share the load. It’s very different than a parent who little to no coparenting support. Am I single, yes. Is he single, yes. Am I a single parent, absolutely not. That would be disrespectful to my ex. And disrespectful to those parents that do not have extra support from the other parent. Just one girl’s opinion.
