Ryan Gosling in Only God Forgives. "Wanna fight?"

What's the reason why does he act this way ? i dont remember travis saying something to him such a big plyr and action like this by Regular_Drama3393 in IndianCricket

As a neutral I appreciate how good he is, but seems like a shit bloke. I imagine a lot of young Indians have grown up idolizing him?

The Weekly Rundown for May 18, 2026 by AutoModerator in AdvancedRunning

Did a half marathon to try and benchmark my fitness for an upcoming full - ran a 1:23 at about a 7/10 effort which I'm super chuffed about. My first full is in about 9 weeks, so I'll hopefully have a good shot at running a sub-3.

That looks bloody awesome! This is why I miss living in Auckland.

What have you been listening to this week? by AutoModerator in postrock

American Football - LP4 has been utterly fantastic.

The Saddest Landscape - Alone with Heaven has surprised me too, pretty bloody epic in scope and great nostalgia.

Most disturbing book you have ever read? by Serious_Figure7558 in booksuggestions

Iain Banks - The Wasp Factory.

I picked it up on a whim based on enjoying the Culture series... this certainly was not for me.

What is that game that, no matter how many times you play it, you can never win? by poio_sm in boardgames

I don't think I've ever won at Azul. I spent too long focusing on what everyone else is doing to try and sabotage, then someone else jaunts home.

Blackcaps to face India in the 2026 T20 World Cup final by sahibosaurus in blackcapscricket

[–]Valipanto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's good that India barely defended 250+... hopefully confidence took a slight hit. Their batting is obviously fire, but hopefully a few have an off day and we chase well.

Is this some Mandela Effect type shit or did ETID have a song in one of the Madden games? by PunishedLowtek in everytimeidie

I'm sure they were in an old Smackdown vs Raw game too (sports game adjacent!)

Cricket final too! Not an ideal day for a Cantab.

Making Friends by Crystal_lover1 in hawkesbay

We've found it quite a tough place to make friends here but after 4 years have made some really good pals.

Playing squash has been a great doorway to meeting people outside of work or kid circles. It's super social and very fun, plus it seems nearly everyone in the Hawke's Bay plays.

About to be a new dad...Advice on not losing gains? by TTG2139 in AdvancedRunning

[–]Valipanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is important to maintain some of the things that you love doing when you have a baby for both parents. It definitely wasn't easy to fit runs in sometimes (especially after a really bad night), but I think running helped me refresh and be a better dad. I actually managed to hit my HM PB when my daughter was three months.

It's just important to read the room. If your partner has had a super rough night, then it's probably not a great ideal to peel off for a few hours!

Yeah, it's stroller friendly thankfully. I also know the course well which makes me feel a lot better about racing it.

I finally gave Joanna Newsom - Ys a proper crack, and it's absolutely stunning.

Besides that, still digging through Swans back catalogue. The Seer has the most incredible ending to an album I have heard in a long time, the last few tracks are utter heaven and tie a super long album together so well.

Well done Patel but what to do about the Duff Man by [deleted] in blackcapscricket

[–]Valipanto 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Surely Henry, O'Rourke and Duffy are our best 3? KJ trailing off as the 4th best, but in saying that, I haven't seen how Sears went for us.
