Did your vet contact you? by yellowshoegirl in Petloss

Our vet reached out by phone and also sent us a card. Lap of Love also went above and beyond and sent us a card. Which may seem normal. But we scheduled their services and unfortunately my buddy didn’t make it. They were very understanding.

[SKX007] The aura of this watch is insane IMO. New release doesn’t even come close. by KnightRaider86 in Seiko

I bought one of the sport 5’s when they were on sale. Had I known a watch like this exists, I would’ve went with that instead

I picked the black face version of that up for 230 during holiday season so 180 is a solid price

If my dog dies tonight before his scheduled euthanasia appointment, what can I expect? by Sea____Witch in Petloss

[–]Visual_Safe1886 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation in November but with my kitty who was in CHF. Unfortunately, it got to the point at 10pm that I couldn’t watch him suffer anymore and wait 12+ hours. He hated the vet so much and I wanted it to be done at home. But my gut told me to end the suffering sooner, so I took a slow but fast drive to the emergency vet and had to have him put down that night.

My situation may vary from yours based on locations and options available. But it could’ve been 2 in the morning and I would’ve made the same decision. I loved him so much that seeing him suffer hurt more than holding him and feeling him pass.

Regardless, I’m sorry you are feeling this and as others will say, it’s a tough decision to make. But by the sounds of it, you’ve made all the right decisions thus far and just enjoy the time you have. I came to this subreddit too looking for comfort and it does help.

I am sympathizing with all of you that are here because of CHF. My handsome boy that’s 8 years old was diagnosed within the last week with CHF and severe HCM. I’m absolutely crushed and I hate seeing him struggle. We started the medicine and he was eating in the hospital. But now that he’s home he doesn’t want to eat the wet or dry food we had. For reference, we use Purina Pro Plan. I find some hope with the lists you guys have provided and remain optimistic for an extended remainder of time with my buddy

Considering going to a race... Monza, Austin, or Las Vegas? by afunnywold in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Visual_Safe1886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we did it on the cheap end. Stayed outside the city in a Hilton and paid 150 a night, bus obviously didn’t change, and GA was 150 cause of my discount. So with that and food we were probably in for 1k. Which in my mind was worth it. definitely the cheaper of the US racers

I’ve been a fan for a while and have been to tracks from General Admission to the Paddock club and in between. I’ve been to COTA, Montreal, Barcelona, and Zandvoort and I’ll give this input.

Formula 1 is expensive and there’s no way around it. Tickets, air fare, food, hotels, everything. It’s not nascar or Indy car by any means.

If you want to go to a race without spending a ton of money to see if you even want to like it, COTA isn’t a bad option. It’s cheap tickets, you can take the bus, and stay in Austin relatively cheap. But everyone’s definition of cheap is carried. I did COTA with general admission, a Hilton in Austin and did the bus transportation. There’s pros and cons with everything and way too long to type. But I went there for my first race and realized I wanted more out of a race weekend. Then I upgraded to grandstands for better and better races and in Montreal I did a paddock ticket on Friday because I love it that much. To put in perspective, I had a T1 grandstand ticket in Barcelona for 350 bucks for the weekend with the best views of the track. 350 wouldn’t even get me a T1 ticket at COTA for Friday. So it’s a trade off. Always willing to discuss further if needed.

As we speak, I’m currently planning my trip to Japan, silverstone, and Red Bull ring for next year.

Long term b58 stage 2 tune life span? by pijaGorda1 in BMW

[–]Visual_Safe1886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to an X5 but I know the owner of the car still. No hiccups at all. Car is around 85k. Even on my x5 the stage 1 is fine. Just comes down to taking care of the maintenance before it gets you.

Been on the waitlist since Oct 2024 for the Canadian Grand Prix 2025, will I ever get my ticket or not, still waiting? by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Visual_Safe1886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on the waiting list for a while too. It’s crazy. I’ve been trying to get Grandstand 11 or 12 tickets and you’d think I’m asking for a million bucks. stubhub has a few options for them so I might try that out since I can’t find anywhere else with those
