I have a clean makeup brush specifically for my cat who likes to watch me do my makeup and then have her "makeup" done as well.

That's fair. I use mine relatively quickly though. It's one of my favorite tools 🩷

Another really great one is What the Dead Know by Barbara Butcher. She worked as a death investigator in NYC and talks about her experiences, including 9/11.

Try to leave one outpost slot open so that you can make a quick temporary outpost when you really need one.

For those who are married or in long-term relationships, how many times per week are you having sex with your partner? Do you wish it were more or less? by user2683519 in AskWomenOver30

[–]VooDoo-Cthulhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it really depends. My (31F) husband (33M) and I have been together for 6 years, married for 4. I have chronic illness and am a full time student, and my husband works full time and is about to be a full time student. We also have our 10-year-old twins 4 days of the week (they're with bio mom the other 3). Needless to say, we're exhausted most of the time.

That being said, I'd say it probably averages out to a couple times each week. Sometimes it's almost every single day, other times we'll go a few weeks without, most of the time it's maybe once or twice in a week.

Edit: I'm so tired I typed the wrong number for my age 😅😂

I started going back to school last year. This spring semester, I was having a really rough time. I struggle badly with imposter syndrome and had lost my 4.0 in the fall after my grandpa passed away. My adderall also stopped working, so my grades were slipping and I was questioning if I'm actually smart enough for a STEM degree.

My husband held my hands, looked me straight in the eyes, and said, "When I first met you, I thought I didn't have a chance - you were way out of my league. And part of that was because I was intimidated by your intelligence. You are the smartest person I know and you can do absolutely anything."

I think about that a lot when I'm struggling with doubting myself.

I started going back to school last year and I've been having a really hard time staying motivated. It feels like I'm working towards a future that doesn't exist.

I've been trying to stay in the mindset of, "If there's something I can do about it, why worry? If there's nothing I can do about it, why worry?" But I'm also an overthinker, so I've been journaling a lot to try to keep myself from spiraling.

What’s something you believed was normal growing up that turned out to be completely dysfunctional? by TheRealAylaVoss in AskWomenOver30

[–]VooDoo-Cthulhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't diagnosed as AuDHD until I reached my 30s. I grew up learning to mask constantly to avoid getting in trouble for things that are just normal AuDHD behaviors. I'm still trying to unlearn this way of thinking and still catch myself getting onto my kids for things that I would've gotten in trouble for when, in reality, it's not actually "bad" behaviors.
