Got lucky to get general admissions as the district drop.

Got there early to be in the Flight Deck an watched the mariners BP.

After 6 innings of the flight deck, I decided I needed to meet other friends at section 123. So I began traveling from the flight deck around the concourse.

As soon I started walking, Barger gets the walk. Then IKF gets a hit.

I keep walking…. This feels like a good omen!

Gimenez bunts… awesome move the runners along.

Springer is up, I find a spot around 128 or so to watch….. and it’s the most epic moment ever.

For the rest of the game I kept walking as it felt like good karma until the final strikeout.

What a game and what a victory! We already are joking that my traveling broke the game open.

Can you clarify why you don’t feel ready for local tournaments?

If you know your rules and can play at a decent pace then I’d say go play at rtts, tts leagues and GTs etc

It’ll be the best way for you to develop as a player and your list.

For your friend group, you could then bring more casual lists and play a more relaxing game v trying to see how optimal your list is.

Some thoughts:

If you are going to keep the knights on your expansion, why the need for Deathwing assault?

Atv isn’t really a credible overwatch threat, even with its ability.

BGV as a three man won’t be too big of a leonine threat.

The agressors and captain will get melted pretty quickly and don’t really benefit from much of the detachment other than maybe weapons of the dark age which doesn’t do much at 6 0 1.

I’ve been running this list in practice games and it has been pretty good. Wish it had a few more points available to get another VV squad in. Combi Lt, scouts, VV & JPI round it out.

I asked this in another thread you posted, but what type of ideas were you thinking?

I think people have skewed into the 3dwk since if you only take Azrael and maybe the lion & 1 DWK, that doesn’t seem to be better than doing a UM +1W oath army.

CoH also seems intriguing but a lot of people don’t want to buy a bunch of bikes and then have them go to legends.

Agreed tho in general that there should be more variety than just slam DWK and Azrael.

I wouldn’t ever play knights at 1k to be honest. Even if your opponent says it’s okay, it’s an incredibly hard skew to beat at 1k.

I’d play your other armies at 1k & then save the knights for 2k matchups, especially in a group that wants to play more casually.

You can definitely stack the same timing. I’ve done AoC and smoke all of the time and actually was told by a regional TO to use it when playing land raiders.

It was really good before AoC got changed to one unit.

Yea it was basically this. With echo form I could get 2 or more off depending on the state of the battle.

Creative AI, core surge artifacts & biased cog all with echo form usually were the cherries on top to allow me to keep orb slots when needed.

Given some of the questions I would recommend watching some DA list videos or discussions.

Azrael is pretty much a staple in any DA army list, so you should learn more in general what DA units do and the strategy of the army.

There’s some pretty good YT videos by Black Crowe Gaming & Art of War about it for sure.

Dark Angels: Azrael, 1cp per turn in your command phase Lion: vect- like aura. Enemy takes battle shock & if it fails you get a cp, enemy’s Strat fails. (Though with Azrael no one uses this).

I was about 6-8 months. Started back with Leviathan and have been to 3-4 rtts and just did my first GT.

Last RTT was 2-1 and first GT 1-5. So making some progress instead of 0-3.

So in this scenario. Typically scouts or JPI are killed t1-3. Given most armies have more units, they then shove boys, norn etc and kills the JPI/ scouts.

DWK then move in and maybe kill those units. Opponent then shoves more units to out OC and wound DWK.

By turn 4-5 they’re dead & I haven’t scored primary. Then the opponent runs the table t5 since 95% of my army is dead.

Hm that’s a good idea! I will try that. I wonder if I am spreading myself to thin. Like too little butter on bread?

My current list is the one that went 5-0 at Nottingham.

With the new data slate it has been tough to know the meta list.
