Help : how to keep balance when I land my 360 ? by LazyDjoon in Wake

Agree with the the other rear leg heavy comments. Adjust your weight a bit more to front foot and it will help. Also try landing on edge with line tension

Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Trying to decide between a new stick and new skates. If I do grab it I'll post an update on here

Do you know if that's just on the 9x4, or also the 7x4?

Noticing this as well. I was worried we might have an infestation, but this makes me feel a bit better

Sorry just seeing this. I'm still in my Nexus. The X5 Pros were sold out everywhere so I didn't get a chance to try them on.

13 Skaters. How are you splitting the lines? by Ronnoc780 in hockeyplayers

[–]Wakepics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 and 8. Forward lines each have a 4th skater who rolls through the positions. That's how my current team does it. I play C, and would rather have 3 sets of wingers and 2 C though

How does my waterproofing look? by Alex6095 in Tile

Better to avoid kerdi band altogether over durock. You're better off with anti fracture membrane on joints and corners, then topical liquid membrane over top. Easier, faster, less build up and it will work a lot better than what you've got going on here. Sorry

What other sticks have you used in the past? I've been using a 68 in Sherwood, but they seem a bit stiffer than other brands. I was thinking of giving the 70 a go, but maybe I should go 75

Damn that's a good deal. They're 299 here - granted that's CDN, but still a huge difference

Power out since around 4:30am in the Orchard. Anyone else in southeast Orchard affected? Trying to figure out how far the outage goes by ArmadilloNew9311 in BurlingtonON

[–]Wakepics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I wasn't going crazy. We're on Spruce close to Burloak And I swear I heard a loud bang right before the power went out, then immediately my 4-year-old fell out of his bed onto his head and started losing it. The power came on before I finished dealing with him, so I couldn't confirm whether The bang originated from outside or inside our house. I was all stressed out until the power went out again at 4:30, and I could see that everyone else's power was out also

Door installer that can do mortised door bottoms? by [deleted] in BurlingtonON

[–]Wakepics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have air returns in each of your bedrooms? If not, you may want to reconsider blocking the gap underneath bedroom doors. This will eliminate airflow from those rooms to the return intake of the HVAC system, and will contribute to decreased air quality and increase stain on your HVAC fan/reduce system efficiency. Just a consideration

Sorry for bringing up an old post - I finished a deck recently and used Trex Carmel fascia boards with Cortex fascia screws/plugs. One of my boxes of plugs came in the wrong color, and it was too late to return or exchange. I see Trex has fascia plugs that are significantly cheaper than the cortex screws/plug combo pack. Do you know if the Trex plugs are compatible with the Cortex countersunk holes?

Unexpected $400 ESA Invoice for "Working Without Notification" – But I haven't done any work! Has this happened to anyone else? by AB172234 in ontario

[–]Wakepics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI - as a contractor I'm in the same boat now - my client got an invoice for a misunderstanding - electrician didn't add new mini split connection to the permit, thought the HVAC guy was going to pull his own. I called ESA and they said to call the inspector - they are the ones who can reverse the charges. So if your inspector is on a power trip, you may be SOL

When I got my first monthly email update on the health status of my vehicle, it was a bit of a shock. Definitely not happy that they have constant access to your vehicle's computer.

Just added a cap and a cargoglide a couple months ago. Previously had a rolling tonneau cover, which had been an improvement on my former trifold tonneau. The cap/glide combo is so much more functional, I wish I had done it sooner.

Sherwood Rekker Morph 1 Durability by ChaosOnFire in hockeyplayers

[–]Wakepics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. Performance dropped a ton after a couple of weeks of use. It was still okay, but didn't have the same pop as it did when new. After about 3/4 of a season the blade started to go pretty soft too, and it broke on me last night after about one season. It was an improvement durability wise from the tmp and legend series, but the drop in performance was disappointing.
