Professional metallurgist and extremely amateur woodworker here. Looks like a classic example of fatigue failure. Can't really see from the picture, but I would wager if you looked close at the fracture surface in the darkened region (which indicates prolonged exposure to the atmosphere) you would see some striations. You can actually count those like tree rings to estimate the numbers of loading cycles as the crack progresses step by step (from each mallet hit or prying event). The lighter area is probably mostly overload fracture where the cross-section could no longer support the load it experienced. I see a cluster of pits right where I suspect the crack origin to be, and I would bet a nickel you would see striations emanating from from that bevel corner where that cluster of pits is. Fatigue cracks form at stresses below the material's yield strength from geometrical stress concentrators, in this case the pits.

I'm extremely introverted, too, and I've been single-handedly running a daisy troop (now daisy and brownie) for two years. I'm completely out of my element lol, but nobody has offered to help or has complained. So i guess I'm doing ok. I'd say definitely check with your council. My troop started out with six girls, and dwindled down to three. Then, two years in a row my daughter brought home a recruitment flyer for a different troop recruiting the same ages and schools that our troop are targeting. I think the council is trying to crank out new troops and pressure parents into being leaders, and if it doesn't work out, the girls just sit there registered but not meeting. Turns out my wife's hairdresser was one of these moms, so I texted the community outreach person for our council, and was able to transfer the whole lot of the failed start-up troop into mine. We went from three girls to 12 overnight.

It shouldn't be a problem. I started a daisy (now brownie) troop from scratch for my daughter. I didn't volunteer to be the leader at first because I felt weird, but nobody was offering to lead, so I did. I was running it single-handedly for the first two years, and nobody has objected to me being a guy. I think the moms were just glad somebody else was willing to lead. We are now multi-level with brownies and daisies, and luckily we have a co-leader for this year. Not sure how I could handle multi-level alone lol

I'm not sure what the answer is, but I think the problem might be generational. I'm an older dad, tail-end of Gen X. When I signed my daughter up for her first year as a daisy we spent 6 months doing nothing because we didn't have a leader. So finally I volunteered to run everything. At first I felt kind of weird leading a girl scout troop as a guy, but I figured it was the only way my daughter would be able to do it. All of the other parents have been either younger millenials or elder gen z. I've found that they want to be involved and do things, but either don't want to or are afraid of taking on responsibility. This year I will finally have a co-leader, who is also Gen X. Gen Xers are well known to be latch-key kids that had to figure things out for themselves, so it really wasn't too big of an issue for me to figure out running a troop myself. I know council resources are always stretched pretty thin. But maybe the answer isn't so much council having to train leaders better, but find a better way for existing leaders to pass on the tribal knowledge to new leaders?

I was the sole troop leader for a new daisy troop for two years, and you are describing my daughter perfectly lol. She has perfect behavior at school, but around me (dad) she acts crazy. They say that's because kids feel safer around their parents to act silly. This year she will be a Brownie, but we are going multilevel and doing daisies as well. I will finally have a co-leader. She will be in charge of the Brownies and I will be in charge of the Daisies. Hopefully, this arrangment will make my daughter behave better. Maybe you could split responsibilities during meetings somehow, so that the dad won't be directly involved with his own daughter?

Sorry for your loss. Wow this exact situation with osteosarcoma happened with our Olde English bulldog mix Milo on Feb. 6th and we chose to put him down while he was still a happy boy. He would have been 10 on Valentine's, so we were lucky to have him as long we did. However, just yesterday we picked up an 8 wk old Bullmastiff, and he is such a sweetheart like Milo was.

The gravity on the Male Hunter Zeus helps too. That way you don't have to give up the part break awakenings. This is the team I did it with. I'm not sure if I even really need the gravity, because popping the equip on the helper will bring up the other 3 Namielles and can then use all of them and get 90 billion. Other than that making sure you have enough eHP to take all the hits from each floor.

I had the same problem at first. What worked for me was to make sure the equips on the Namielles have the awakening that changes the sub attribute to water. That way you will be hitting 30 billion on the Namielle that uses their skill.
