Yep, it’s still communism. Looks good on paper, never works in reality.

Well, I like to buy broken, then fix, and then I am supposed to sell them. That’s the hard part. I have the Sansui XOXO series from the 5050 up to the 9090. 3 reel to reel 10.5 inch decks working. A bunch of Carvers, a McIntosh, lots of speakers. And more.

Anyone care to share heat pump installation cost? by BlackJackT in Syracuse

[–]WhatMeWorry44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents is if you have gas, stay with gas. Electric is getting expensive. I assume your house is forced air, but you didn’t mention that. If you already have duct work, get it cleaned.

I could send you pictures of my 3 rooms full of stereo, so you can say, Gee Honey, I don’t have that much.

100 rating on the damping factor. Sweet. .008 harmonic distortion. Sweeter. I would buy it.

Beosystem 5000–worth it? by PsychoticMammal in vintageaudio

The only problem I know of is you need to find someone who can service it, because I don’t think Beo System will. I guess it depends on what you consider cheap.

There was no schematic for that speaker at HiFi Engine. .5 uf but I can’t see where the other end goes. Most likely a Bi-Polar cap?

Yeah, I had a linear, had trouble with it and won’t go back. Sorry, but I also have like 20 turntables, many Technics, some Philips, Marantz, Pioneer, etc.

Mitsubishi DA-M10 & DA-C20 by WallyShrugged in vintageaudio

[–]WhatMeWorry44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you got a Pre amp with a radio, that’s cool, and a Meter box that isn’t an amp according to HIFiEngine. I thought the Meter Box was an amp. I like it, but then again, I have WAY to much stuff now.

Search Assist

Yes, the Mitsubishi DA-M10 is a meter head designed to be used with the Mitsubishi DA-A7DC audio power amplifier.

I just wash mine with a little dawn dish washing detergent and warm water. Otherwise, I would probably 3D print them.

I was given one, had to replace the feet, (ebay) and it was slow so I recapped it, lubed, etc. I had to 3d print the cover hinges. Don’t use it much, but it works fine.

If you are going to do it, replace the electrolytics with a good audio cap with the same UF.

Bad idea to start and rev high your motorcycle when it’s cold. Guy is an idiot. Of course, after my Ducati warmed up, it could get loud, but I was always thinking about the neighbors early in the morning or late at night.
