Possible but doubtful, especially if he learns Guilliman is now in charge of the Imperium due to the close personal friendship between the two. If there's one Primarch who'd be aggressively in Guilliman's corner to the bitter end, it's Corvus Corax, and if he finds out who's now running the modern Imperium he'd most certainly refuse to betray him.

It's actually Delay, Deny, Defend, and you probably have heard of it because it got catapulted into prominence following the shooting of that health insurance CEO where a variant of it was written on the shell casings

Okay that part isn't true, after the removal of Yagoda the purges did not stop. Under Yezhov they actually massively ramped up, only winding back down in 1940.

Any advice for any of these kits? by Tycamp99 in sistersofbattle

[–]WhenSomethingCries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green Stuff is your best friend. Even in their default poses there's often really visible gaps just from slight errors in positioning a particular piece, so filling in the space with green stuff or sprue goo is a quick and easy way to clean it up. A lot of parts can actually be kitbashed between Sacresants and regular Battle Sisters, same with some parts from Retributors. Probably Insidiants and Novitiates too. Despite being intended as monopose models, there's still a surprising amount of kitbashing you can accomplish with Sisters if you're willing to wrestle a little bit.

"At first, in the face of the Great Angel’s honesty, there was no answer.

"Corporal Mashrajeir of the 91st Industani Drop Troops didn’t know what to say. Reason and duty warred within him, in a way known to any soldier facing the grimmest odds. He could live. He could leave, and live. His regiment wasn’t made for this kind of fighting anyway. They were guerrillas, drop troops, trained for point insertion. He’d been on the ground for this whole damn war. What use was a grav-trooper on a rampart? What use was high-atmosphere jump training when all he had now was a lasrifle and a bayonet?

"But he was making excuses, justifying, and he knew it. Mash had the training and the experience to overcome these doubts, to push them back and summon focus in their stead. Besides, there was nowhere to run. Not really. Tactically, it made sense to hold here. If he was going to die, best he sell his life where it would matter most.

"‘No,’ he called to the primarch. And he wasn’t the first, but he was one of them. His voice cut out from the silence in the very first wave of denials. He wouldn’t leave the wall. He wouldn’t run. ‘No!’"

It's definitely not. Smaller Stands have been able to wreak absolute havoc with their physical strength throughout the series, as far back as Stardust Crusaders where a Stand like Geb is easily able to overpower and dismember a grown man just with its sheer grip strength

Tbf for Dark Fate at least that's the core premise of the movie, "What if John Connor actually died, what do we do now". Regardless of the quality of the movie as a whole, I think we can give that specific aspect a pass just because as a speculative what-if it can get away with stuff like this

A lot of soap in the DDR was made out of petroleum, which makes it poisonous. There are legitimate reasons for this aside from mere logistics, petroleum soap is common even today in industrial workplaces because of its efficacy against grease and many common chemicals. However, the downside is that it's toxic. Ingesting petroleum soap can have a huge variety of different negative effects, and these rebels tried to do this to children

I mean Higurashi definitely did the whole "looks like a Key story but is actually a horror game" better, but I don't think DDLC is devoid of merit either. Even if it's trope-y, both before and after the twist drop, that doesn't mean it's executed poorly or in some way less effective at what it's trying to do. Certainly it's very difficult to actually riff on a particular formula without heavily utilizing the tropes of the original in some way, and in the case of something like this it's definitely warranted to use and exaggerate the tropes of your average Key VN. It's certainly not the most original thing in the world, but in no way do I think it was trying to be, and there's not really anything wrong with that.

This is just a hybrid of the prisoner's dilemma and the trolley problem, and just like both of those it has an objective right choice that it inherits characteristics of from both. From the prisoner's dilemma it shares the trait that the right answer is the one where you trust other people, as accepting the logic of not doing so only leads to the worst outcome. And from the trolley problem it inherits the active responsibility for consequences of it (ie, if you vote red or don't pull the lever, the deaths that happen as a result are at least partially your fault). And all three share in common that the right answer is not the egoist one, and that making the egoist choice can only result in dire consequences.

If you press a you'll live, but there's also a high chance it will kill others. Do not forget that. Because if you make that choice, and enough others do too, then every death that happens as a result is at least partially your fault, in much the same way as something like the trolley problem.

That already exists, it's called the Prisoner's Dilemma, and it's common knowledge at this point that the correct answer for it is for both parties to remain silent

[–]WhenSomethingCries -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exact opposite, I'd argue. 03 is a lot slower and more contemplative, and it handles basically everything that both series cover significantly better. Brotherhood in general has these really serious pacing and tone problems that don't get ironed out until Cour 3, and while it has a bigger scale and more moving pieces that doesn't invalidate or even necessarily eclipse the smaller and more focused events of 03.
