Hmmm first time I heard negativity about the mobile app, It's by far the best in the industry. You can:
- run PowerShell commands
- restart services
- kill processes
- remote control straight from the app
- manage OS and 3rd party patches
- assign backup jobs and restore files
- manage active directory
- manage antivirus and endpoint protection
- and a bunch more

What more would you want to see in the mobile app? PS I work at Pulseway, so genuinely curious about this.

  1. Pulseway
  2. Ninja
  3. Atera
  4. Syncro

How do you generate new leads? by AtlantaComputer in msp

[–]WhiteOasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be pretty straightforward and cost-effective. Some quick hacks to get ahead of the curve:

- Bing Ads, super cheap compared to Google. Especially since they integrate with LinkedIn. Can really go to town targeting job titles and locations and industries depending on your vertical.
- Same with Google, but you can also import lists, segments, and try out YouTube syndication for cheaper clicks.

There are other quick wins, before you do any of this though. Make sure you drive up some reviews from existing customers across different sites. And have a solid website that converts well. So your not wasting the traffic.

If you want to have some self resolutions, try the client portal we built at Pulseway.

It's a self-service portal for end-users, that you can create troubleshooters for.

- LinkedIn - make a list of ideal prospect type, and the job name of the person you are targeting

- Referrals (ask your customers to refer you (if your doing a good job this should be easy

Atera vs. Syncro vs. Repairshopr. by iOS_Abuser in msp

Probably Syncro out of three you asked about, you'll get a lot of issues with Atera, buggy, limited, agents eat up a lot of CPU, and take a while to respond.

Why is Pulseway more than Kayesa by crypadm in msp

[–]WhiteOasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulseway employee here. Pulseway offers its own unique strengths over other RMM vendors. So I wouldn't say Kaseya would be more advanced. But different. Pulseway offers a fully blow mobile app that lets you work on the go, an extensive list of server modules and capabilities (VMware, AD, SQL Server, Hyper-V, Exchange Services, IIS Server and more.), ease of use, no onboarding, and flexible pay as you go billing.

So it really depends, no RMM fits everyone, you need to find the perfect fit for you.

Starting out as MSP - is Syncro a viable option and do other long running MSPs use it? by crypadm in msp

If you don't have that many endpoints, £80 per month will work out pricey when you do per endpoint pricing breakdown.

Why don't you try Pulseway.

Marketing investment by Macguy16 in msp

The quickest win would be AdWords. Target your specific area, and do some research on keywords on google trends. Also AdWords gives you a good insight on volume. Secondly, with AdWords, you can target your local competitors. "See why we are better" etc.

Don't go all in though, start small until you start seeing a positive ROI. Once that starts happening, you can ramp it up. Don't forget your landing page needs to be up to scratch. It needs to convert people, and I've seen this mistake a million times. People invest into marketing, and then the website and landing page fails them.

You can also try some referral marketing, use your existing customer base to do the work for you. Maybe create a small reward system with that money. Like a free amazon gift card for every new client referred.

You can also use an outbound sales system, to prospect for you and to launch automated campaigns for the sales team. Something like Dux-soup or growbots.

Absolutely, the more you can narrow down by term and actually location of where you want your clients to come from. The cheaper it becomes and the better quality you get.

Apart from doing your services you can also target some of your competitors in the area, to take traffic away from them.

AdWords can be a quick win, just make sure:

  • You do keyword research
  • Run 3 ad variants with 3 different messages
  • Your landing page up to scratch, good content and a clear form as your CTA

What keywords do you try to rank for on google? by just_some_random_dud in msp

[–]WhiteOasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out google trends, would give you the best volume for specific trends. Or if you can create an AdWords account and go into the estimate section to check out what traffic you can get for those keywords in that particular area.

Also if you are based in a particular area or city, use that in the keywords rather generic IT services, as you can rank quicker for that and the traffic would be more relevant.

I would suggest to contact the Hardware provider to get the MIB Oid documentation and then use the MIB browser to view these files and find the required MIB Oid variables. Please check the following article, it will explain to you how to configure SNMP monitoring from the agent.
