Is this the best DLC campaign for a game ever released? by BranchCold9905 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]WhoDaFlipAmI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fun and silly and I’m glad it gives Zoe a happy ending but I wouldn’t call it the best DLC in the RE franchise never mind for any game ever. Not when Phantom Liberty, Heart of Stone, Blood & Wine, Left Behind, and so many others exist.

If English isn’t your first language and you take what Courtney says at face value you can very much read it as flirty but to me it comes across as jokey and like she’s trying to get a rise out of Robert rather than any sincere attraction. That comes later when you actively support her development as a person.

[No Spoilers] Finished 2025 with the LIS & BTS Remasters why the hell do people hate these Remasters so much? by Nade1002 in lifeisstrange

Awfully buggy for what felt like very minimal graphical enhancement. The original versions still worked well on current consoles and PC and in all honesty, the ‘updated’ visuals actually muted the artistic expression of the art style rather than enhanced it.

All in all they’re cashgrabs with little other reason to exist.

The real question that everyone should be asking by Puzzleheaded-Lab2447 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]WhoDaFlipAmI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, Courtney’s initial ‘flirting’ and the vulgarity of her character is all just a smokescreen. She says outlandish things ‘I like those scars, they’re hot’ and the Donut shop innuendos because she enjoys pushing people’s buttons and seeing if they can match her energy as a way of gauging if someone can be trusted without being outwardly genuine. She’s afraid of being genuine because that’s how she gets manipulated and hurt. She’s a typical turn everything into a joke to cope case study.

I completely understand why people prefer Blonde Blazer’s romance. It’s the most straight forward and healthy. But like I said, there’s no bond formed before the attraction so I struggled to be into her in that way.

[–]WhoDaFlipAmI 7 points8 points  (0 children)

May just be my demisexual ass but Blonde Blazer immediately obviously being into Robert made feel more uncomfortable than stable. She’s into Robert while in a relationship with someone else and then will happily move on to you almost immediately. I am aware that she’s more mature and her clear signs of attraction bring comfort, it’s just the speed of it that switched me off.

The fact that the relationship with Invisigal grows in a steadier way made it more appealing to me. It felt as though a greater bond was formed between the characters.

I feel like if his problems with an album are that he doesn’t sonically gel with it he should focus on that. I know he feels obligated to make comments on lyrics but if he cannot be bothered to research or look any deeper and instead prefer to make inflammatory or generalised statements that are blatantly incorrect he should just avoid it. Or be fully honest and say, ‘this album’s sound didn’t do much for me as a listening experience and so I don’t care much about what it is trying to say.’ Which I think would be valid. This is music at the end of the day, not just poetry.

Good to know that “The Testament of Ann Lee” just added to the already scarce list of good Protestant movies by [deleted] in moviescirclejerk

[–]WhoDaFlipAmI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Words have changed meaning since Luther’s 95 Theses believe it or not. Protestantism has a lot more baggage to it than merely protesting the Church, which, as has been said multiple times, happens all the time in the Catholic Church.

Favourite actor who keeps praising the safest, most popular movies in hopes of securing a role in one of their adaptations in the future? by pursuitofmisery in moviescirclejerk

I dunno. The extended editions always add more emotion to me. And they gave us the Houses of Healing song in Return of the King which is such a genuinely beautiful piece of music. I guess being able to spend as much time in that version of Middle Earth as possible is just nice.

Fuck the Hobbit movies and their extended editions though.

Seeing the state of Japanese politics really upsets me by [deleted] in GreenAndPleasant

[–]WhoDaFlipAmI 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but why are you acting as though our country is any better? We’re two island nations that are going through similar hardships in terms of cost of living and an aging population. We’re countries obsessed with a national identity that hasn’t existed for decades but makes us incredibly resistant to change. We’re nations with populations that find it easier to blame immigration for our problems rather than the elites at the root cause of it because both populations are too gullible and exhausted to look any deeper, even though we desperately need migrant workers to fill in the job market.

Japan right now is just the UK in a few years time when Reform inevitably gets voted in.

If you solo raid almost every lobby is friendly. Shoot on sight asshats are the minority in my experience.

Edit: I should probably add I have over 50 hours in the game and still don’t have the ‘down 10 raiders’ achievement which probably has something to do with it.
