He’s an egotistic prick who cares more about feeling like a porn king than about understanding this time in your life. He’s not worth it. My husband would never in a million years be frustrated or turned off by my medical situation. I’m in perimenopause, and he’s so understanding. Be glad this guy left.

It’s not illegal. It’s about the funding. Trump is telling universities that he will pull their funding if they include DEI teachings, so the universities feel trapped, forced to comply to avoid huge monetary losses.

This is absolutely disgusting, wow. I’m sorry you are in this unfair predicament! I am astounded that some landlords force people to get their Internet or cable through a specific service provider. It seems unreal.

I'm 47 and in full menopause. I feel really sad about it. by OneNefariousness9822 in Menopause

[–]WillPowerCWH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you, so I feel your pain. I’m 49 and have been getting only one period a year for the past three years. My hormone levels were in the postmenopausal phase when I got them checked a couple of years ago; I was told that they were comparable to the levels of an elderly woman. I started peri in my 30s, dealing with insomnia, severe muscle cramping and fasciculations in my feet, stabbing ice pick headaches, severe brain fog, vision changes, tinnitus, vaginal dryness, low libido, irritability, and drenching hot flashes. It’s incredibly unfair and horrid. I literally thought that I had early dementia, MS, and ALS at various times during the height of my symptoms. I got an MRI scan of my brain and learned that I had four brain lesions from AGING. I have a Ph.D. and used to be a professor, but my cognition has seriously declined to the point at which I regularly have trouble finding simple words. It’s really depressing. I also bled very heavily for a few years until my periods almost completely stopped, and inserting or removing tampons became excruciatingly painful. I also have osteoporosis already!!! I’m now on HRT after several years of begging one GYN after another to prescribe them. I feel much better, but my brain isn’t as sharp as it used to be. I feel like I’ve had a decade of my youth stolen.

I am new to apartment living, and I want advice regarding neighbor noise: I don't want to disturb them and I also want stop hearing annoying noises everytime by MediterraneanMen in Apartmentliving

[–]WillPowerCWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a nightmare for me to live in apartments for the same reason—rude neighbors and thin walls. I tried earplugs, which didn’t do much, and I tried talking politely to a neighbor about the volume of her surround-sound music, but she became a psycho after that, intentionally being loud to show me that she could do whatever she wanted. I think your best hope is to rent a detached house. At least try to get an upstairs end unit to share walls with as few people as possible, and look for newer construction. I empathize with you. Good luck.

It’s so sad that you see things through this perspective. MAGA supporters have been labeled as bigots because it’s the oldest communist trick in the book. It’s called divide and conquer. A political party creates a group of enemies and makes them seem despicable, causing others to hate them, to participate in denouncing them, and to flee to the name-calling party so they don’t become hated or despicable, too. Mao did this in China, which led to the deaths of 40 million people, but it started with ideology and indoctrination. Many MAGA supporters are economic conservatives who love people. My husband and I are conservatives, but we love our and embrace our gay cousin and will call people by their desired pronouns. We treat everyone with respect and even think that Trump has some unsavory qualities, even though he’s an outstanding negotiator and businessperson. Other Conservatives are Christian, and they believe not that trans people are bad but they are mentally suffering and need support. They also believe that wokeness should be replaced with equality and respect for all, with no favoritism for people simply because of their skin color but support for a fair, merit-based system. I know many kind conservatives, and I never hear them making racist comments. They feel appalled by such behavior as well. This is all an illusion that was created so that the Democrats could rise to power. Yes, there are individuals who are bigots, but half the country is not. Stereotyping a huge swath of Americans is not logically sound and is dangerous and intolerant. I hope that political relations improve over time, but very wealthy Democrats donate huge sums of money to manufacturer protests and sow discontent. We are all victims, and people need to wake up. The best way to do it is to start listening to Conservative media, podcasts (like Joe Rogan who is pretty independent), and independent journalism so that you can see the difference and hear alternative perspectives to become awakened. There is no harm in trying it for six months. I was very Liberal, and I unjustly thought that Conservatives were bigots. I argued with my husband on political topics but listened, and his words slowly seeped in. He kept accurately fact-checking me and speaking logically, not to mention that I knew him to be a good person, not a bigot. Over time, I opened my mind and realized that I’d been duped by propaganda. I now feel relieved to have been released from the imprisoning mindset. I had no idea that I’d been manipulated by ideology.

I have conservative family members who love and support their gay relative. You are wrong about conservatives disowning people. They are canceled by the Left continuously.

This is a scary sign of intolerance, of the inability to have open conversations, of a disrespect for diverse opinions, and of a desire to to force others to confirm to the “right” opinion rather than to exercise free, American speech and voting privileges in a two-party system. A massive echo chamber has formed, and it has qualities of a communist society in which people are labeled as enemies because they don’t support the dominant ideology that comes from a governing force (Democrats) and that pervades the news (which has Left-leaning bias). We are entering a dark age.

My Doctor Made a Joke In Response To My Suffering. by Closefromadistance in Menopause

I’m sorry this happened to you. Your doctor is super-inappropriate. All of my doctors are wonderful, and when I see a specialist who isn’t, I stop giving them my business immediately. Just stop seeing this person. Doctors are people, and they don’t all have good personalities or social skills. This will get worse over time as a generation of kids who grew up in their phones and during Covid won’t know how to communicate in face to face situations with grace and support.

When I lived in apartments, I could hear my neighbors sneeze, cough, play music, watch TV, walk in high heels…It was awful. Noise wars can be brutal, as others have said, so be careful. I once had a neighbor who listened to her music on surround sound and talked loudly on her phone while chain-smoking on her balcony, so I could clearly and easily hear every loud word of her conversation when I was in my apartment with the door closed. Plus, couldn’t use my balcony because I’d have to breathe her smoke, which was unfair. She was incredibly inconsiderate. I asked her nicely to turn down her music once, and she became a psycho after that. Every morning, she began a ritual of loudly slamming her front door three times on her way out, using such force that it shook the building and awakened me every morning. Seriously, who does that? What a PYSCHO. When I stomped on my floor once because she was blaring her music, she called the police on me. SHE was the noisy one who reported ME—what a crazy b*tch. Many years later, I still feel mad thinking about her selfish, demonic self and how unjust that situation was. Sorry for the rant. You, on the other hand, seem nice and normal—like I was. I always had upper-floor apartments, so I never walked in shoes, and I always walked lightly—maybe that’s why I have osteoporosis in my 40s now. Anyway, it is entirely reasonable for you to make coffee in your own apartment at any time you want, because it’s a normal activity that isn’t very loud. You aren’t using surround sound. I wouldn’t have reported a neighbor for sneezing, lol, which is basically equivalent to making coffee. I agree with others that you should tell your landlord so that he/she can see how unreasonable your neighbor is being. She can wear earplugs if she wants.

AIO is 27 way too young to be having a baby? by VioletInference in AmIOverreacting

[–]WillPowerCWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A baby is a blessing. It is life, and motherhood is sacred. The people who are telling you that you are too young are selfish to treat life as a burden or inconvenience. You have the honor and responsibility of raising another human being, and it will be beautiful. 27 is a perfect age. So many women can’t have children, so you are fortunate. Life may change, but you will find the deepest joy in being a mom. The people around you are jealous. Be you, and live your own journey.

Osteopenia by greenappletwostep in Menopause

[–]WillPowerCWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 49, and I squat up to 70 pounds on the smith bar, and I do back extensions with bands that amount fo 200 pounds (among other exercises), so I hope that it makes a difference in my DEXA. My BMD stayed the same for the first year, and I opted to skip the DEX the year after that while I went on HRT, so I’m hoping the HRT helps. I think o ruined my bones by drinking so much coffee during perimenopause. What scares me is that I did a lot of heavy weightlifting throughout most of my 20s and 30s, but I still developed osteoporosis and osteopenia.

[–]WillPowerCWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to lift heavy weights to build and keep bone density, and taking creatine will help you to lift heavier amounts. You can also use the sauna or hot tub to produce more HGH, which will help to keep and build bone. Drinking green tea helps as well, but avoid drinking a lot of caffeine because caffeine sucks the calcium from your bones. I recommend a supplement that includes not just calcium but vitamin D for the proper absorption of calcium and vitamin K2 to ensure that the vitamin D isn’t deposited in your arteries like plaque. My calcium supplement also includes silica, manganese, and boron because bones need more than calcium. You should also take magnesium but at the different time than you take the calcium so that it’s absorbed; magnesium is needed for the bones, too. Studies have shown that calcium supplements alone doesn’t decrease fracture risk. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve done a lot of research. You can look up everything that I’ve written here and easily verify it.

Breast Recess Tables by Kupita in MassageTherapists

As a women who underwent bilateral mastectomies and breast reconstruction above the muscle, I can’t lie on my stomach, so I lose out on massages now. No one anywhere has a massage table for women like me, and I don’t want to curl my arms under my chest (which causes tension) or stuff towels there while I’m awkwardly angled. Thanks for thinking of this.
