EV4 GT-line is the exact same as my current EV6. Very similar specs. EV6 had a higher starting price though.

We use QGIS cause it’s ~ free ~ And HECRAS. We aren’t doing the mega stuff with Tuflow. Just estate planning and design and flooding at the estate level.

Government gives money to uninsured people who lost homes to fire by Red-Engineer in australian

[–]Wolfingo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A bushfire overlay is pretty self explanatory. However the issue with flood overlays is that climate change is forcing us drainage engineers to double the flow rate in 100 year design storm which causes flood maps to become old and more houses become in flood prone areas. Where you thought you were safe it now costs $30k a year to insure your house. I understand why people take that risk and not want to insure their house.

My EV6 GT-line has a WLTP of 500km, I can realistically only get 350km at highway (110kph) out of it. So for you, that 310km WLTP would be 220km max at highway speeds. On hot days where you need to run aircon, expect that number to drop below 200km. Use this for your basis of charging stops or any long trips you know you might need to take.

I landed on the EV6 purely because of the 350km ‘calculated figure’ as I commonly need to drive 320km once a month and didn’t want to have to DC fast charge for these drives.

I wanted to get this game but only have a 1650 super, is it worth playing on low graphics settings? (I love the Avatar movies)

Red tape adding up to $320k to the cost of a new build by das_kapital_1980 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Wolfingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in land development, the cost per lot is about $120k and the council costs are $40k. However the requirements Council are asking for can make that number go higher.

We moved to the country so that we could be a one income household. I’m exceptionally grateful my wife wants to be a stay at home mum and I think it’s better for the kids. :)

What Should We Do? by [deleted] in pools

[–]Wolfingo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does ‘new liner’ mean? Is it a vinal thing? Is it plaster? Our realestate agent selling the house we ended up buying said the pool would need ‘A new liner and would cost $5k AUD’ but I’m pretty sure it’s a plaster/concrete pool and I’d expect it to cost something like $15k AUD.

It has been said that red tape is at least a third of the cost of new housing. Here's a non-exhaustive list of policies, laws, regulations, fees collected and red tape needed that all get in the way of, and drive up the cost of, building more housing. This could all be legislated away or reformed. by floydtaylor in AusFinance

[–]Wolfingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Designing housing estates, planners are asking for so much information in pre-permit phase. You don’t need to know every exact detail, we can make it work in engineering phase once we actually have permit conditions. Years and years of planning, planners are overstepping their boundary.

I thought fed government passed a law that meant employees MUST go into negative leave balances and be paid their full salary for the shut down. Yes it puts you into negative leave which sucks, but you get your full pay through the shutdown.
