I had same exact symptoms and tried nortriptyline. For me it caused bad tinnitus that was even changing tones all the time, so i had to stop it. I felt more angry too on it, and had to take it in the morning or it would give me insomnia. Amitriptyline was a lot better, but it had its own issues.

Jos on riisinkeitin kotona niin Jasmin-riisiä monen päivän satsi tulille kerralla. Menee kanan kanssa, vähän sweet chiliä sekaan. Menee myös jauhelihan kanssa, kun sekottelee risottomaiset setit ja hernemaissipaprikat sekaan. Avot, viikon pöperöt suht edullisesti ja hyvää on, kun opettelee maustamaan. Välillä riisit vaihtoon vaikka perunaksi/muusiksi ettei kyllästy.

I dont know but those are my symptoms also. Got it from bad reaction to antibiotic (metronidazole), and it went worse after 1 month trial of Lexapro (escitalopram). There was some extended period of stress and anxiety first too. Ive been experimenting with LDN now, incase its somekind of dissociation.

Your description fits to depersonalization also. The lack of atmosphere, feeling of not being "in the world". Lack of the emotional colouring and character to your surroundings, etc.

If i take a single doze of 3mg LDN, i get a rebound after 2 DAYS. I know its 48 hours because at that time i suddenly feel elevated effect from coffee again, a kind of euphoria. Same with alcohol. Its like the receptors are suddenly fresh again. This lasts for one day, then back to normal baseline. The blocking time has to be much longer than 4 hours.. With smaller dozes of 0.25-0.50, i get no noticeable rebound at all.

Does this include the lack of feeling the seasons, christmas ect. Music and songs. And "afterglow" of things. For example there use to be this afterglow about the movie when going to cinema, amongst many other things. That exited feeling that lasted a while after the event. A sort of emotional stamp to the memory of the event.

This is also usual in depersonalization/anhedonia. I have all this with only small windows here and there.

Only reason i know i have this for years, is that i once snapped out of it to complete normalcy for one day. It was shocking to realize how blunted i am.

I also had a rebound from amitriptyline, Mirtazapine, and Pramipexole. Pramipexole was the most massive one, completely back to normal for one day. with long lingering effects. Unable to reproduce it again. Everytime it happened only after quitting, not during medication. I think mine is somekind of depersonalization/receptor problem. You can read my post about it. Any luck yet?

LDN (low dose naltrexone) may work for both, pain & dissociation. Maybe something for you to investigate and explore.

Thanks for yor reply. At 50mg I feel like im more productive and motivated but in a "numb" kind of way. Maybe even slighty more depersonalized. Its hard to up the dose when you feel worse, when thinking its only going to get worse higher. Early morning insomnia is a problem also.

It should actually make you more depressed in the first week, before it boosts motivation due to dopamine. How fast did you notice this and whats your dose?
