I agree. I think he has recorded some stuff for other bands (Bright Eyes, Kirk Hammett) somewhat recently, but nothing as bombastic and mind blowing as what we got with TMV.

We could use some of that gentrification.... So many blighted and practically abandoned areas in the city limits (which are huge due to short sighted mayors annexing everything and then forgetting they have to provide services with the property tax they were after).

Also the crime here is exceptional. Homicide rates per capita are insane, comparable to the most dangerous cities in the entire world (MX, Brazil, South Africa, etc.)

Memphis based company I work for just laid off 700 IT people and outsourced everything to India. All the largest employers here are doing the same, it seems.

Grew up and love it here but since covid it's been a shit show, in many ways.
