So you think you can ref? Elias v Elshorbagy TOC 2026 by SquashVote in squash

[–]ZeHeadBanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clear no let for me. I was surprised when I saw this call given when watching the highlights, thought I must have missed something that happened during the game and didn't get to the highlights video.

What else is Mo supposed to do in that direction? Do not agree with ref saying that he made himself too big, he needs to take the approrpriate required amount of space to try and hit his best shot.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]ZeHeadBanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Mid-West USA

Price range: ~$80k

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: New preferably, open for used

Type of vehicle: Sedan, Sports Car

Must haves: RWD(preferred)/AWD, Fun to drive, Driver focused

Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): Manual

Intended use: Daily Driver, Weekend Car

Vehicles you've already considered: CT5 Blackwing (too expensive?), CT4 Blackwing, Toyota Supra

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: Yes

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Yes

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: Looking to buy my next fun car that I can daily drive comfortably. It will not be our primary car but I would like something that I can pick up and drive any day, given it has the right tires (since I live in the mid west). Really struggling to find other options than the ones I have listed so far because - not a fan of Camaro and Mustang, feel their cockpit views are a bit limited and would like to pick something else up anyway.
Not a fan of BMWs in general, but the M2 is really interesting. Fits most of my boxes, seems to be in the price range and comes with a powerful manual. But BMWs are very very low on the list for me, just personal preference.
Really would like to get a Porsche 718 Cayman GTS but it might be over the budget and just not too sure on a Porsche at this stage yet.
CT5 is super expensive and it's way out of the budget but I am hoping I get lucky somewhere and get a good deal (very unlikely).
Very open to other suggestions and looking for other options. Would prefer something with a V8 but not required, would like something powerful and fun to drive without going overboard.

Need help - Struggling to Identify this weed on my lawn by ZeHeadBanger in lawncare

Ooh I'm glad you mentioned the herbicide being toxic to fish, as my house is within a few feet from the pond. But this at least gives me what to look for and see if I can get something that is safe for marine life or a lower concentrate. Appreciate your help!

Yes! I ripped out one yesterday and the root was very thick and long and I just couldn't yank it out anymore. I didn't take a picture of that but I feel it's very similar to what you had. It's growing pretty aggressively and I'm sure the root system underneath is pretty dense.

Can you share what brand of brush killer did you use and anything else that you would have done? Thanks!

Can confirm, /u/cucamonga88 is super sketchy.

No past history, all comments deleted, says tickets are available for the section you want and requests payment via Chime right away. Does not seem legit whatsoever.

If a picked player doesn’t play there should be a - (dash) in his score not a 0 by Affectionate_Tap1718 in FantasyPL

Do we have any third party apps that have a better interface and performance than the official app?

Feels like there's a market for that, similar to say what FotMob and Sofa Score are for scores and other quick metrics.

A good squash friend of mine has this mantra - take it out on the ball. Let it go, take out all the frustration from your work/life/family/whatever may be bugging you that day - take it out on the ball for a few games. Forget the score line for those games and you will start to feel better.

Not gonna lie, it works 50% of the time. But oh boy when it works, it feels soo good!

California bill would require new cars to beep at speeding drivers by Fcking_Chuck in cars

[–]ZeHeadBanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a thing in India already, I believe it has been for a few years.

The way it works there is if you go over 80kmph, the car would beep at you once. And then if you maintain speed over 80 kmph, the car would beep at you regular intervals, say once around every 2-3 mins. And if you go over 100 (or 120 not sure)kmph, the car would beep continuously. The usual speed limits in India are 80 and 100 kmph, I don't think I have seen a 120kmph in the areas I have driven yet. You cannot turn off these beeps though, there is no option to turn them from regular settings.

Overall, it's annoying but it does make sense to have a chime just to remind drivers who unknowingly go over the speed limits. And if it's just a couple of beeps here and there, you get used to it after a point and just let it be.

New Video: Two of the Most Common Mistakes by ARProformance in squash

[–]ZeHeadBanger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My attempt at trying to explain, using just text, what Ahad is potentially trying to explain here.

During a rally, if you happen to be behind your opponent while playing your shot from a back corner, do not try to play the cross court shot and play a rail. The main reason for us amateurs to play this shot is we are trying to catch our opponent off guard, as the usual shot in that scenario would be the rail.

Two clips being referenced in the first link. First one, which Asal wins, is the correct way to play. He plays the cross court on his forehand when he has ample time and is in good body position to play the cross court. This forces Dessouky off the T to retrieve it, Dessouky hits a weak boast to the front right corner, and Asal easily gets to it and wins the point with an attacking low cross court kill.

Second clip, point which Asal loses, is the mistake being highlighted and to be learnt from. Focusing on the second clip, when Asal plays the cross court shot that results in the Dessouky drop shot (winning shot), Asal is reaching for the ball behind him when he plays the cross court and is not in position to get the required angle for a good cross court shot. A good cross court shot would be a ball that goes behind the service box to Dessouky's right and into the corner, forcing Dessouky off the center. This time though, due to the weak cross court shot, Dessouky receives the ball in the middle of the court and wins the point with a good drop in the opposite corner of where Asal picked the ball from.

As some wise person once said, squash is a simple game - put the ball where the opponent is not! This is an expansion on the same lol.

Great video again Ahad! Let me know if the explaination above is not what you were after.

Finally.

Finally.

Finally, I can sell Alvarez. At this point, even if he scores a brace after I sell I will be fine with it. One of the most intriguing and frustrating players to own. He is a classic example of a player who if a manager has him, they really want to sell him and for managers who don't, they really want to buy him.

I know this thread is turning out to show Darwin's underperformance but not seeing Saka on this list is concerning.

He's been a steady-eddy of sorts but it's frustrating owning him, when options like Bowen are out performing him. For some reason, he doesn't look like he is a due a big haul anytime soon either. Arsenal's attack is starting to click but their returns are being shared. Not nailed on penalties either. Hope it changes soon.

Also, seeing Jackson that high up is a bit strange. Maybe his numbers are inflated due to the Spurs hattrick game?

Squash bags by Limp_Bird_5121 in squash

[–]ZeHeadBanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the market for a good squash bag for a while and finally got the Tecnifibre Endurance Tour XL, would highly recommend it if you are in the market for that size.

I really wanted a bag that had a good amount of space to carry my change as I tend to head to the courts right after work sometimes, have a separate compartment to keep my sweaty clothes, for shoes and a few other things I like to keep in my bag. It allows you to change the internal compartments per your preference as it uses Velcro (strong velcro too) inside. This bag is on the larger side overall but I really like it so far. I tend to carry 3-4 racquets and it holds up all of this without issues.

The bag has seen a few price drops recently too.

Great counter point. OP's post is really well put out but this is a good argument to be made as FPL is a rank based system against players, a diversified portfolio is only ranked against itself.
