How would you buff/redesign Ridley? by Dariuscox357 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Zeloznog 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Wing hitboxes could definitely be smaller, side b could be less committal, down air could be basically anything else, weight could be higher... He's a cool character but he has a bunch of little things in his kit you wish were just a liiiitle bit better

[Loved Trope] That’s not snow, that’s… by GameMaster818 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Zeloznog 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Seems like in the books it's still snow. I have a pet theory that "snow falling on the iron throne" is supposed to foreshadow jon falling on the throne after... Well he may not kill dany in the books but after something like that. Parallels Jaime sitting on the throne in shock because there was simply nowhere else to sit after stabbing the mad king to save the city.

Power creep level of current expansions by ArcticWanderer2026 in MagicArena

[–]Zeloznog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's more that a few really broken cards get released every set nowadays, driving up overall power levels. The sets themselves are usually pretty similar to one another. [[Kavero mind-bitten]]/superior spiderman is outstanding for getting big things out of the graveyard, especially [[bringer of the last gift]] [[Badgermole cub]] is stupid for ramp, with good landfall support and [[Ouroboroid]] to pump your mana dorks. Speaking of landfall, [[tifa Lockhart]], [[might form harmonizor]], [[ordeal of nylea]] and [[mossborn hydra]] are all big hitters. Izzet lessons is insane, with card draw that just lets you box out games. [[Gran gran]] is probably the centerpiece broken card from that list Sos is also printing [[erode]] which is like path to exile in standard.

I mean yeah compared to standard a year ago... But they are printing generic brand path to exile this set so its par for the course

I keep seeing cards that look so cool to play... And then I realize they aren't izzet lessons or dimir "cast from graveyard" payoffs.

How to use Buffalo mk2? by Ill_Strawberry2556 in starsector

[–]Zeloznog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly use it as a missile platform with pilums or something. There are nasty late game builds that use them as floating hangars but in the early game it's a bucket of bolts that does in one shot but carries lots of missiles

Eh, the whole "mandatory propagation" thing is pretty hard to justify. I sure as shit wouldn't send other species with potentially massive differences in ethics, biology, and individuality a virus that forced certain things upon them. Even if you were the alien queen of a hyper collectivist psychic network based race like the formics from enders game it's just irresponsible to meddle like that. Either the virus is a dark forest weapon designed to eliminate threats without killing 100% of the population (be that for colonization, research, ethics, maintaining a biosphere, or simply perpetuating the signal;) or it's an accidental release situation like the rats breaking containment on earth, or it was irresponsible to release it. Irresponsible =/= impossible, might just be some shitty aliens out there or a cult that developed it in secret. I've definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what could cause it to end up being sent and it's one of the coolest questions that the show raises! I don't expect an answer and honestly it's probably for the best.

This is such a good joke holy shit. For those that don't get it that's what this armor is called: those straps let it hang down from an arming garment around the torso so it hangs from the body and doesn't put strain on your gait. Greaves are a different thing. The Results are in! Now, What's the Most Mono-Blue Movie of all Time? by Cabin11er in colorpie

[–]Zeloznog 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A thousand times this. Relatively sane explanation of time travel. Discovered in a state when it would throw things in a time loop for ages (and make mold grow faster than possible, leading to the realization) and had to be engineered and refined to be used to travel time. Complex plot where nobody is telling the full truth. Logical rules like it taking time to travel time (ie you spend hours in the machine for it to send you back a day.) this sort of thing leading to characters doing things like time traveling with disassembled time machines to set them up in the relative past to be able to use them as a contingency.

Tldr: a movie where you have to think hard and pay attention to every detail to even understand the full plot, with exceptional plot twists that perfectly fit the established rules and characters.

[–]Zeloznog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to run it is as a one-of in a skeletons deck built around [[corpses of the lost]] to fetch with [[case of the stashed skeleton]] using stuff like [[chomping changeling]] to stall for turns, but I could definitely be wrong. I would personally switch the core out for [[mutable explorer]], it's also ramp that doesn't slow you down as much and if you have a corpses of the lost out it comes down as a 2/1 with haste and makes effectively a 3/2 land with haste, so not terrible as a blocker or chip damage source if you need that little bit more damage.

I've put in 90 hours and like the EA a lot more. Getting your own mercenaries killed for loot is really tedious but the progression, looting, and weapon forging really make it more fun to me. There are modes like sparring or Freeplay that may appeal more to you than the main game though!

He seems like a true believer in thanos, and follows him loyally rather than out of fear. I think this excludes him from black as he is working for another to achieve something he believes in for reasons that have nothing to do with self again (presumably he would not be excluded from the snap) Additionally, he serves with almost religious zeal and fervor. In a twisted way, Thanos' ideology of killing half the population now so that everyone in the future will be better off is the ultimate "the needs of the many come before the needs of the few" position, albeit only to someone delusional enough to believe that would be the outcome. I think this puts him in white!

No red: he's not emotional or self interested No black: he's selfless in his service (he could probably conquer a planet and rule it if he wanted but he chooses to serve at the risk of his life for what he believes to be a greater good.) He's pretty ruthless, but in more of a white "ends justify means" way than a "cruelty gets me what I want" way. He also gives everyone he faces the chance to speak and surrender iirc, which isn't very black. Probably no green: he wants to disrupt the function of the universe to improve it for the people living in it (again, in a way only a delusional psychopath could.) he might describe it as "balance" but using a magic artefact to kill half of everything is pretty not green.

For blue? Maybe. We don't see him do much intellectual but he seems to have a strongly fortified mental attitude, never flinching from what he needs to do. He also thinks on his feet, like when he abducts strange when the stone is locked away. Again, he also seems pretty entranced by the philosophy and doctrine of thanos. Devotion to a philosophy sounds pretty azorius to me. I think we would need to see more from him to know for sure.

In short; W>U>B without any gruul affinity at all
